Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn was announced earlier this year, coming from the developers of Ashen. After relative silence in the months since, the team has now lifted the lid on its new action RPG, showing off a couple of minutes of gameplay footage in the above trailer.
It looks to be a pretty stylish game. The combat allows you to combine projectile weapons, melee attacks, and magical abilities, which should make it an extremely flexible system. Protagonist Nor wields a hatchet and a gun, which she can mix into a combo, and it appears her companion Enki will allow for some neat traversal at certain points.
We're definitely intrigued by this one. We really enjoyed Ashen on PS4, so we have confidence this will deliver. It's heading to PS5 and PS4 in 2023. Are you excited for Flintlock? Tell us in the comments section below.

The xbox showcase was garbage for most of it, but because it went for so long it actually had some pretty cool games that I'm interested/hyped for. This is one of them 😀
The Xbox showcase was amazing. Made me a little sad we didn't get a normal E3 yet again. So many games looked really cool. This one was a definite stand-out!
@UltimateOtaku91 I said it looked like Forspoken while I was watching it live w/ my family. My wife didn't think so but my teen was a more emphatic no. I still think it does a bit but admittedly after all of those FPS almost any 3rd person game was going to look like Forspoken.😁
Today was my first time hearing about this game, looked good, but a little brown. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty looked really good though. Reminded me so much of Genji I was waiting for the historically accurate giant crabs. 😂

@rjejr I rarely touch my Xbox One X anymore and have no motivation to buy a Series X anytime soon.
My backlog is immense so I'm in no hurry lol. Still have HUNDREDS of unplayed PS4 games.
@KidBoruto I have like 5 unplayed games that I want to play, don't bother counting unplayed games I don't. But I'm still going to the library to borrow more anyway. 😂
@KidBoruto So we went to the library and despite there being 2 shelves of Switch games and 2 shelves of PS4 games (only 3 PS5 games) we left empty handed. There were a couple of games we wanted to play but decided we should finish the games we paid for first.
