Milestone has been making motorcycle racing games since the late 90s, and it's barely shifted from that path all this time. Yes, there have been some outliers, like Hot Wheels Unleashed and Gravel, but the Italian studio has been keeping its games on two wheels for the majority of its existence. Announced today is SBK 22 for PS5 and PS4, keeping that tradition going.
This will be the first home console game based on the Superbike World Championship in about 10 years. SBK 22 is an officially licensed racer, featuring all the riders, tracks, and bikes from the current season. There aren't many details right now, but we do know it'll feature a typically in-depth career mode, online multiplayer, and it'll be borrowing the AI tech from the MotoGP series.
With SBK, Milestone is now running a total of four motorcycle series — MotoGP, Monster Energy Supercross, and RIDE. Those folks really love motorbikes.
SBK 22 will launch on 15th September 2022 for PS5 and PS4. Are you excited for this one? Rub your knees on the tarmac in the comments section below.

Milestone loves a motorcycle game.
Can’t complain tbh, they make really solid motorbike games.
MotoGP has become a yearly purchase for me.
Been a decent wait for a wsbk game. Nice to see the slightly smaller series getting a shot at things with a good developer. Let's hope the future Indy Car, Nascar and Touring Car Games fully materialise and we get all the motorsport we can handle.
Another yearly milestone purchase.
I hope it’s closer to Ride 4 than MotoGP because to me the MotoGP games have gotten to be almost unplayable. Going from the feature least I’m not too hopeful. Repeating the same old things but not listening to the players about what needs to be fixed (braking and AI). Will end up getting it anyways but not getting to excited
