The PS5 version of Deliver Us the Moon, which released today on the PS Store for £19.99/$24.99, can also be claimed through PS Plus Extra at no extra cost if you're an active member. The original PS4 version had been part of the service since its USA rollout last week, but the new native PS5 edition has also been included as the new tiers arrive in Europe.
Therefore, if you've already upgraded your subscription, you can get started with the PS5 version of Deliver Us the Moon without paying an extra penny. This enhanced edition sports a 4K resolution along with ray-traced reflections and shadows. The load times will be faster, and there's support for the DualSense controller's adaptive triggers. If you like what you play, the sequel Deliver Us Mars then releases for PS5 and PS4 on 27th September 2022.
Another game confirmed to be launching straight into PS Plus Extra is Stray on 19th July 2022. For more information, check out our All PS Plus Games guide.

I will be signing up later but had a look at the full list when on my lunch break.
This game definitely intrigues me and a PS5 version seals the deal!
I'm also keen on trying Observation.
I actually have a physical PS5 copy in the mail. Should be here today or tomorrow.
Really enjoyed this game on the PS4. Just finished watching For All Mankind on Apple TV so I’m definitely in the mood for replaying the PS5 version before Deliver Us Mars arrives. Do we know if it has a separate trophy list?
Wasn't expecting this! Very nice.
I almost bought this the other day so guess I don't have to now. Looks great.
THIS. This is the way to go with this service...I've been complaining a fair bit but this is a good move by Sony so I have to praise them
It's maybe not one that I would have bought unless it was on sale, but now, I'll be sure to give it a bash
Wow, unexpected and nice!
Extra is looking like a must for me now
@Col_McCafferty this game is really nice, no wonder the devs are making deliver us mars
Is everything in PS+ Extra also in PS+ Premium so websites and social media don't include both names? Are we all supposed to know that? I always assumed if the higher tier was listed - this game is coming to PS+ Premium - that the lower tiers would be excluded but not sure if it works the other way for PS+ Extra and PS+ Premium? I'll assume anything that comes to PS+ like a sale price discount also comes to the higher tiers, just not sure how much PS+ Extra differentiates from PS+ Premium. 🤷♂️
And this is what happens when you have 3 tiers rather than 2.
Ooo never even heard of this - shall download! (Currently have about 9 games downloading.. sorry hard drive)
@rjejr the reporting on it (only mentioning Extra) seems to be as you proposed. Everything in Extra is included in Premium under the “PlayStation Plus Game Catalog”, but not the other way around since Extra doesn’t include the classics catalog or cloud streaming.
To your point of it being confusing, it seems like a better naming convention would’ve been helpful. Maybe something like “Bronze, Silver, Gold”.
I just finished Observation yesterday and I’m still in the mood for space thrillers. This has gotten fairly good reviews and the PS5 version seems to be a good upgrade over the PS4 version. I think this might be next on my list
@itsfoz
I got 16 lol.
My 2TB External HDD is going to be full lol
@Shstrick Going w/ bronze, silver & gold after Microsoft and Xbox got rid of it would have been hilarious. 😂
I figured it's probably included, I just wanted to ask now so I'd know before we start getting 3 of these articles a day. I still may be confused, but I won't ask again, it's my problem at that point. 🤷♂️
What exactly is this game? Is it something like Alien Isolation?
Any non subscribers struggling to upgrade do it through the app.
It won't let u upgrade via the playstation store, use the app or Web browser, otherwise it will take you to the new ps+ upgrade section..strange it does that, I tried it in the morning and works perfectly.
@SystemAddict
Use the app or Web browser,it won't work via the console
@naarmi yea was sayin. Probably not strange at all!
@Col_McCafferty I enjoyed Observation. Not the best but it's pretty unique and worth a play imho.
Also liked Deliver us the Moon
Hopefully this a sign of things to come and we will get more ps5 versions of games to the service when available. Something of a bugbear of mine with PS NOW (RIP).
Good shout. Downloading it now.
I will download but I want to see the trophy list first, this was one of the games i saw on there to get extra 😁😁
@naarmi when I go to PS plus on the ps5 it has shows blank, can't do anything else 😤😤 this is after upgrading to extra
@munstre no PS5 version of Chicken Police though
@naarmi @SystemAddict you can upgrade it free if you have the disc version using your console on the PS store. The trick is you gotta have the disc in your console to do it. If you don’t have the disc inserted it will only have the option to play it via their subscription service
Decided to check this out and experienced a few crashes. Hopefully it’ll get a patch to fix it.
@BReal You can upgrade it digitally as well, but you have to do it via the store's website or app. This is the first time I've ever had an issue with a free PS5 upgrade. Yes, it is easy enough to do a workaround, but you shouldn't have to.
It likely will only keep cropping up because of the new PS Plus likely getting more of these upgrades on there over time, but Sony somehow feels there's no reason to fix the issues with the store on the PS5 even though people have complained about it basically since launch. Upgrades being convoluted, the file size listed not even being close for most games, and even the number of your friends who have played a game can be wrong. I've had it list a higher number than how many friends I even have on multiple occasions.
Getting off track, but I'll do the workaround later. Still a shame you have to as this should have been as easy as previous times I've done it via disc (the Cyberpunk 2077 upgrade took me about a minute to do even though others were complaining about having issues).
Whoa that's neat, might actually try out the game!
@huyi i had the same issue after upgrading to extra...rebooted the ps5 and all was good 👍
@KilloWertz yeh I knew that it was digi and physical that can be upgraded. I was specifically referencing physical cos I have physical myself
Hm, I got the PS4 PS Plus Extra version and the PS5 version is only available to me via purchase.
@BReal I know. I was mainly pointing out how much of a mess the store is on the PS5 at times, but to also make sure people knew they could upgrade it digitally. They would just have to jump through a hoop or two in order to do so.

@KilloWertz yes it can definitely be a piece of excrement at times. Not letting your purchase games on one format of the PS store and having to go to the same PlayStation store on another format(ie mobile device) to make the purchase
@BReal Yep, but I'd consider the other two issues I mentioned just as big of a deal to me, if only by default because this is the first time the upgrade process was an issue for me. Ok, maybe not the friends played counter on the games being off (I remember at least once or twice when a game listed more friends that played the game than what I have on my friends list), but the file size being considerably off for most games is baffling. Why they can't fix that, I don't know. I did end up buying a game physically because I thought it was much larger than it really was when I could have bought it digitally for cheaper. I don't remember stuff like this being a problem on the PS4. Mainly just hardware limitations keeping the UI from being faster.
Like I said before though, I'm getting off topic again. I am glad the PS5 version of this is out. I bought the PS4 version a month ago when it was on sale for $7.49 two get ready for the PS5 version. I've never played it, so it'll be nice to play it via an even better version than before. Whenever that ends up happening that is.
