Resident Evil Village will be updated with PSVR2 support on PS5, taking advantage of the Sense Controllers also. The headset itself still doesn't have a release date, but presumably, this patch will roll out alongside the device.

YAY! Now I can get maimed! In VR! 😃, its like the real thing!
I was waiting of DLC of some kind for Village... I am not that interested in investing in new hardware...
Great news! I've been keeping far away from Village and potential spoilers in the hope it would get VR support.
I’ll no doubt play this but I’ll also most likely have a cardiac arrest!
Tall hot woman in VR. True greatness awaits.
No idea if I'll adopt PSVR2 straightaway but I wouldn't mind doing another playthrough in VR.
Hopefully we get the DLC announcement soon.
Great to see they’re actually fully integrating VR this time…will add so much to immersion.
Makes me think this isn’t going to be a case of a free patch though…
Aswell as leaving PS4 users behind they're leaving vr1 uses behind 👎🏻
@belmont We are still getting RE Village Story DLC, Capcom is just taking their time to make sure it plays smoothly.
In due time we should get another trailer with a release date.
Now I can spank vampire mommy with a flyswatter in VR! lol.
Seriously though, I will try out the version for a bit but I doubt I finish it all through the end.
Amazing news. Resident Evil 7 in VR blew the standard version out of the water. I can’t wait to play through Village in VR.
I called it on this one 🙂👍👍👍
@KidBoruto with gold edition on the horizon, I hope day one buyers didn't get knocked buying it on release lol
Waiting finally paid off! The first mainline RE title I didnt pick up and finish on launch. I deliberately avoided watching anything on village because I wanted to experience it in VR (How could I not after RE7)
Now Im rewarded and get into experience it completly fresh and in VR......Im hoping more than a straight port and included more VR like controls (eg more RE 4 than RE 7)
Thought I think thats a bit too hopefull with just, takes advantage of the sense controllers instead of takes advantage of the PSVR2 controllers being mentioned
@Perturbator exactly what I've been doing too! 😃 also resi7 is supposed to be getting a ps5 update, l can only assume it'll get psvr2 support as well! l played resi7 entirely on the original headset and it was awesome, I'll happily replay it on psvr2
@KidBoruto Was the story DLC officially announced? I don't remember it... Anyway, I love this game I will play any sort of story DLC they make. I hope it is better than RE7 DLC though.
Without spoilers for those waiting, there were some bits in the game I feel were made specifically with VR in mind. And they will be creepy AF
@Would_you_kindly
Village is a graphically intensive game. I doubt it would run well on PSVR1.
@OrtadragoonX wouldn't mind if it looked like re7 does on psvr
@belmont They never specified that it would be story DLC, but I can't imagine what else it could be...

@KidBoruto They may only referred to the paid VR DLC... In any case we will probably know later this month. If there is Story DLC it should release this year and not next year close to the RE4 Remake.
@belmont We'll just have to wait and see...first I need to play RE7 though...maybe later this year or next year.
I own it but my backlog is vast and I'm focusing on older games first.
@KidBoruto Both RE7 and Village are top quality, you will have a great time regardless of when you play or in which platform. Just beware of spoilers!
@Would_you_kindly
They would need to redo the assets and use completely different lighting.
RE8 is a very heavy game. Even on PS4. It’s a dramatic improvement over RE7.
Eventually we are gonna have to leave the PS4 behind. There’s alot of PS5 owners like myself who want true exclusives for our consoles.
