Here's one we weren't expecting — a brand new game from roll7, the studio behind the OlliOlli series. Having put out OlliOlli World just a few months back, it's a pleasant surprise to see another title from the indie team, and it looks like it could be another winner. Rollerdrome is its name, and you can see what it's all about in the trailer above.

Rollerdrome is a third person shooter, only you and your enemies are all on rollerskates. Plonked into futuristic arenas in a deadly sport, the aim of the game is to rack up high scores by killing all the opponents while also pulling off sick tricks. According to the PS Blog, performing tricks grants you more ammo, which of course you'll need if you want to deal any damage. Slow-mo can be enabled in mid-air for some stylish kills, too, because why not?

It looks like another typically arcadey title from roll7, and we're here for it. There's no word on multiplayer just yet, but we're excited to learn more. Rollerdrome comes to PS5 and PS4 on 16th August 2022. What do you think of this one? Tell us in the comments section below.
