While many major games are being pushed back into 2023, it's starting to look like 2022 will be sent off with a bang. God of War Ragnarok is heavily rumoured to be releasing in November, and we were meant to get confirmation of that today, though it wasn't to be. However, that's not the only title lining up a November release date — that is, according to one report.
Tom Henderson, a fairly reliable reporter with some inside information, wrote about all the Ragnarok business over on eXputer, but he brings up a couple of other games. Towards the end of his report, Henderson mentions the upcoming Need for Speed title — allegedly subtitled Unbound — as well as Ubisoft's Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. He matter-of-factly states their intended release dates; NFS is targeting 4th November, while the Avatar title is allegedly launching on 18th November.
Unfortunately, there's no way to know if these dates are legitimate beyond Henderson's word, and it's always worth remembering that delays can happen anyway. Still, the brazenness of just stating these dates in an unrelated report is curious at the very least.
We will probably learn more about both games soon, if they are indeed coming before the holidays, so let's wait and see what happens. Are you excited for the new Need for Speed and Avatar titles? Does November seem about right to you? Tell us in the comments section below.

If Avatar is being released this year then I’m 100% fine with God of War being delayed 😬
I would love a good NFS. The last one was a step in the right direction in many ways. If this game builds on Heat in the right ways, I'm excited.
Despite my absolute adoration for Massive, I have less than zero interest in anything related to Avatar. Hopefully the new NFS is good, though.
Chef's kiss to that subheader
I'm am so looking forward to a new NFS, it's been far too long.
Please, please, please be like 2015!
I would rather Avatar be released in October so I can just do a buy 2 get one free deal with it in November for Black Friday. Maybe they’ll read this and answer my prayers
i guess i’m interested in a new NFS since midnight club is dead and there’s no other new arcade/street racers …… 😒
@nomither6 such a shame rockstar never gave midnight club the love it deserves..a new one would be most welcome but hopefully the next nfs will suffice..
After reading that last article about the harassment being aimed at Santa Monica, I hope they delay the stuffing out of that game just out of spite.
I remember seeing Avatar in 3D at the cinema and thinking it was incredible and then I watched it on DVD.
@nessisonett I’ve never seen it in 3D and I absolutely love it (on Blu-ray mind you). The Extended Edition is awesome. Can’t wait for the new movie and game.
I’m cautiously optimistic about the Avatar game. On one hand, totally not a fan of Ubisoft and their open world game design. On the other hand, Avatar in video game form COULD be awesome.
@TeapotBuddha nope
@jFug avatar has a game already on ps3/360
@BritneyfR_ee Honestly will never understand the general hate for Avatar, I love the movie and have seen it several times!
Also looking forward to the sequel in December, as well as this game should it release in November.
