The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is hands down one of the best PSVR games available – in fact, you could make an argument that it’s up there with the best survival games on the PS Store. The sequel, then, which was announced earlier in the year, is guaranteed to be a bloody good time – and it’s coming to both PSVR2 and PSVR.
The full name isn’t our favourite, if we’re being honest – The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution, ick! – but the game looks to build upon what made the original so brilliant. “As a direct follow up to the first game, Retribution adds a whole new story campaign, new maps to explore, new weapons and tools, and all new challenges,” a PS Blog post explains.
Effectively, this follow-up sounds bigger, better, and more bad-ass. You’ll have a new arsenal to work with, including a chainsaw, and of course there will be new undead threats to deal with. Crucially, there’ll be a day/night cycle, with unique items you can only discover afterhours – but, of course, the undead are much more violent in the dark.
“With the power and new immersive features afforded us by PSVR2, players will enjoy higher quality visuals, more precise hand tracking and larger, more detailed levels with more to find, and more to see.” The game’s coming to PSVR in 2022 and then PSVR2 in 2023.

So PSVR2 is 100% coming 2023 and not this year? D:
@AFCC Probably for the best, give games more time while also getting more PS5s out there.
@AFCC What Adam said, I'd rather they take their time and work out most of the bugs and such.
Shame PSVR2 isn’t coming until 2023. I’ll just wait though. But they said bigger levels, does that mean the PSVR/Quest version will be different than the PSVR in more than graphics and such?
@KidBoruto @AdamNovice I know, but it hurts lol
@AFCC I'm in no hurry since I've never experienced PSVR before.
@KidBoruto I have PSVR and since I bought it...it blowed my mind and made me a believer. Too bad the cables are just too bothersome for me to turn it on tbh lol
@AFCC Ahh yeah multiple cables can be annoying. Good thing the PSVR2 only has 1 cable I think?
@KidBoruto yeah it's only 1 cable and everything else seems like an evolution. With the PS5 capabilities I think that the games will be mindblowing
