If it feels like you have been waiting for the long-in-development System Shock remake for an eternity, it's because, well, you kinda have. We got another tantalising look at the highly anticipated immersive sim at the PC Gaming Show, and it did not disappoint.
SHODAN spews pathos in the trailer, showing why the perfect, immortal machine is such an enduring villain. The whole package looks like it's really coming together, and while we still don't have a firm release date, developer Nightdive Studio maintains that System Shock is coming to PS5 and PS4 in 2022.
What do you think, are you ready to (finally) look upon SHODAN's works, and weep at their magnificence? Obey your new god in the comments section below.

Im certainly excited for this but I'm still really sad about the cancelation of System Shock 3 :/
This looks amazing. Hope we get a physical release on PS5.
The original’s a bit dated now even though it’s still a fantastic game, hopefully this brings it into the modern era while still being true to its roots!
For some reason I thought this was already out, don't know why🤷♂️
System shock is still a great game and deserves all its accolades but its often described as terrifying but i never found it to be scary in the slightest..interesting and thought provoking but scary?
Loved this game back in the 90s. Feels like I've been waiting far too many years for this remake though. I hope it lives up to my own hype.
I've never played the original games, looking forward to checking out the remake eventually!
Yes! I hope there’s a collectors edition for PS5. The first game is my all time fav (above Deus Ex). So stoked to play this remake. I can’t wait!
@Northern_munkey I remember the part that had you walking past corridors after corridors of deactivated borg men. And then they start moving!
The new Square Enix CEO? If you ask why she was disgustus by gamers who play for fun.
Never played it but i hear a lot of praise. 😁👍
Doesn't "look horrifying" at all, but it does look good.
The audio overlay of the faux-robotic woman's voice was too much talking though, I had to turn down the sound. Reminded me of those "lets play" videos where the youtuber won't shut the flip up. Other than that, it looks interesting though.
