Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is pure, unadulterated nostalgia, with impeccable animation, and is just an all-around awesome video game, all told. It's available now, and we got a brand new trailer to celebrate its launch.
Based on the original 1987 cartoon series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is a sidescrolling beat' em up in the style of 1991's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, and it can be played solo, or cooperatively with up to 6 players, local or online.

Fair do's that looks pretty slick and fun. A remake that actually looks far more impressive than its predecessor without losing the soul. I think that'll most certainly be finding it's way into my game shellection.
This is how you do a TMMT revival! Now why couldn't they have done something like this back when Turtles in time reshelled came out on PSN instead of the abortion we got?
On a side note would anyone think I'm going too far with the nostalgia if i suddenly got the urge to buy a box set of the classic 90's animated show? I am in my 40's after all LOL!
That trailer looks really amazing.this game is a instant classic.word up son
Awesome game, and the soundtrack is a standout.
I got to play a bit with the kids yesterday. It's a fun game and they've got a lot of nostalgia points adding in characters that never made it into the games back in the day.
When I was a kid, I used to play the TMNT2 arcade game in Chuck E. Cheese religiously. I got the home console version for NES that just wasn't nearly as good. This will hit the same vibes for me until the Cowabunga Collection drops then I'll play those exact games in played as a kid, but with my daughter!!
Played for like an hour or two yesterday, and I was smiling the whole time I played. Might be the best game not called Elden Ring I’ve got my hands on all year so far. Hopefully more developers take note. It’s not just nostalgia either, it’s simply a fantastic game.
i have this installed will be playing over the weekend after i go through the quarry spending all day Saturday on this!
Just started playing it on my series x (it's on gamepass), it's really fun and reminded me of konami tmnt games on snes and arcade
@Shredderlovespizza
I haven't seen that one yet but one time i did go through the entire 2003 series. It took several months and by the end i think i was all turtled out. I liked how that one was supposed to be closer to the comics. Shredder was more menacing and not a bumbling buffoon and the turtles didn't eat pizza which was very strange to me. I know that was just a thing in the cartoon to make it more kid Friendly. I actually once owned the very first issue of the comic. No idea what happened to it though. I bet these days it would be worth a good amount of money.
Playing story mode as Master Splinter. Any hidden characters?
@AstraeaV there's at least one, probably the most obvious one if you are familiar with tmnt.
I bought this, and it was definately an unashamed nostalgia purchase. Owning a tmnt arcade cabinet was my dream as a kid.
Glad to hear it's doing well! I'll buy the game during a 50% off sale in a few years, still need to find time to watch the 1987 cartoon first.
@Eldritch This is a brand new game as far as I can tell, just created to look & feel like the retro/arcade games and also the 1987 show.
Why is nobody talking about how on PlayStation you can only do four player local coop while other platforms (including switch) can do 6?
And that on PlayStation you can only have one person playing on a console if you go online. While other platforms including the switch can have multiple people on the same console while playing with others online.
Very disappointed in the PlayStation version. Not able to play with my kid online with other family members on a PlayStation system.
