Update (3/6/22): We've already heard who will be providing the voice for Sweet Tooth in the Twisted Metal TV series, but who will portray the character physically? We now have our answer. As reported by Deadline, Joe Seanoa — better known as AEW wrestler Samoa Joe — will fill the boots of the maniacal killer clown.
Incidentally, Samoa Joe is providing the voice for King Shark in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, so it appears he's diving into the realm of games with some pretty big roles.
Original Story: Peacock's Twisted Metal TV adaptation seems to be picking up speed; we've been gradually learning more about the cast over the last few weeks. A while back, Anthony Mackie was confirmed to be involved, and more recently we've heard about Thomas Haden Church and Stephanie Beatriz joining the cast, as well as Neve Campbell. While these actors are all playing lesser known characters, the one question on everyone's mind has been who will play Sweet Tooth? The answer is actor and comedian Will Arnett — at least, his voice, anyway.
Yes, Arnett officially joins the project, with Variety reporting he'll voice the infamous ice cream truck-driving clown. He's also credited as an executive producer. "A lover of chaos, this majestic rage-filled killer dons an ever-smiling clown mask and uses “Lost Vegas” as his own personal kill-ground, all while he drives his infamous doomsday ice cream truck". Yep, that's our Sweet Tooth. There's no word yet on who will be the physical actor for the role.
Arnett is a pretty accomplished voice actor, having provided his rattling tones to Batman in the LEGO Movies, BoJack Horseman, and Dragon Lord in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, to name a few.
What do you think of this casting decision for the Twisted Metal TV show? Let us know in the comments section below.

Haha, wow. I'm intrigued!
Danny Devito would have been a better choice, and you can't convince me otherwise.
They're not kidding around with these productions are they?
Even though I have no interest in this show I gotta say that's a great pick for Sweet Tooth.
So I assume their doing the Darth Vader thing of a physical actor but someone else doing the voice.
You forgot to credit his most famous role, Matt Hazard!
I have no idea who that is, but it seems people are happy about it. I still can't believe Twisted Metal is gonna have a TV show.
I've actually always wanted Will Arnett to do something more sinister. His vocal range is so low, if applied to the right dialog, he could come across as very menacing and demented.
With his comedic timing, come to think of it, he could make for a very screwed up Joker.
@MFTWrecks While all potentially true, this Twisted Metal TV show is being pitched as a comedy.
Always been a big fan of Will Arnett so this is very much welcome news, and has me pretty excited about this shows potential.
I think that's a very odd casting choice i picture sweet tooth having a very deep voice like a James Earl Jones, I'm intrigued to see how they show it off. when do you think were gonna get a trailer? @get2sammyb
@get2sammyb Yeah, but a comedy in 2022 can be as dark as "Se7en" or "Saw" were back in the day, the bloodier the funnier.😂
While I like the idea of PlayStation TV shows and movies, and think Will Arnet is great, a twisted metal adaptation does not sound like something that'll find enough viewers. Might as well set some money on fire or bring back powers... anybody remember powers?!?!
Great choice in Arnett. He is hilarious. He will be great as a clown and deep enough voice to make him a bit off when needed. I strongly recommend the podcast Smartless for those that don't know about it. It is Will Arnett, Sean Hayes, and Jason Bateman. They bring in a guest to chat, but mostly just roast each other. I'm looking forward to see how they do this show.
@get2sammyb Oh, I know it's a comedy. But I can't imagine they won't make it a dark comedy with some freaky stuff thrown in there.
I'm not sure what to think with Twisted Metal as an action comedy, but the cast is solid. Hopefully, they pull off whatever it is they are going for.
Twisted Metal Black was my favorite game in the series, so that's what Twisted Metal is to me. It's goofy in a way, but serious.
Wonder who will play Calypso.
Arnett's six seasons of playing Bojack Horseman were just full of outstanding voice work (the whole cast was great). This is an excellent choice.
I LOVE Will Arnett He cracks me up(just watched season 2 of LEGO Masters USA & he is brilliant in that) + the USA version of Murderville was funny to (I wasn't sure about him in it at first but he was just brilliant in it)
I'm going into this show with low expectations...
Updated!
Joe’s gonna kill ya! Joe’s gonna kill ya! 👏 👏 👏
Also I love Will Arnett, so I might actually check this out.
Sweet Tooth's gonna kill you!
Sweet Tooth with the Muscle Buster!
You know they say that all men are created equal, but you look at me and you look at Samoa Joe and you can see that statement is not true. See, normally if you go one on one with another wrestler, you got a 50/50 chance of winning. But I'm a genetic freak and I'm not normal! So you got a 25%, AT BEST, at beat me. Then you add Kurt Angle to the mix, your chances of winning drastic go down. See the 3 way, at Sacrifice, you got a 33 1/3 chance of winning, but I, I got a 66 and 2/3 chance of winning, because Kurt Angle KNOWS he can't beat me and he's not even gonna try!
So Samoa Joe, you take your 33 1/3 chance, minus my 25% chance and you got an 8 1/3 chance of winning at Sacrifice. But then you take my 75% chance of winning, if we was to go one on one, and then add 66 2/3 per cents, I got 141 2/3 chance of winning at Sacrifice. See Joe, the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you at Sacrifice.
Joe is going to kill ya!!!
Joe is gonna kill you
