Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 (which was originally released on PS2 back in 2004) is following in the footsteps of its predecessor, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, and getting a re-release on PS4, although with a few more bells and whistles.
This remastered version of the game was announced last year, and we just got a release date. It's shockingly soon: Dark Alliance 2 will launch on PS5 and PS4 next week, on 20 July.
Featuring enhanced graphics, 4K resolution and local co-op support, this re-release of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 is the definitive way to re-live this iconic action RPG.
Did you play the Dark Alliance games back in the day? Will you be picking up Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2? Let us know in the comments section below.

I might like to replay the Dark Alliance games, but they're overpriced imo. They'd be perfect for PS Plus Extra if Sony were so inclined.
Local co-op? That’s what I like to hear! The wife and I enjoyed Diablo 3, so we’ll give this a go.
Ugh, another remastered cash grab?
Definitely picking up. Love these even if slightly overpriced still one of the games ive wanted on modern hardware for a while
Loved the first one on GameCube and this never launched on it. Cant wait!
Please do Champions of Norrath next, far better than the Dark Alliance games in my opinion.
@LordFlamingo absolutely! I loved those games so much! Wish they’d become a big franchise.
This game was the best couch co-op experience on PS2. That trailer though, wtf. Talk about not doing a game justice.
@AhmadSumadi @LordFlamingo Would also love to see them but trouble is, they were PlayStation exclusives, developed by Snowblind and published by Sony Online Entertainment, so there may be licensing problems when trying to port them to the Switch and XBox.
PS only wouldn't warrant the cost for the work. Also, I think Sony held the rights to the EverQuest universe but someone commented that they'd sold that off?
