The latest Gotham Knights trailer — released in conjunction with San Diego Comic-Con 2022 — has arrived and this time around it's all about Batgirl. Footage focuses heavily on combat and her general approach to engagements, highlighting a couple of combos and how she can glide in and out of fights. It is a good showing building upon past trailers focusing on Nightwing and Robin, with one more to come for Red Hood.
"Gotham City still has a Bat, and she’s going to make sure everyone knows it. Protecting people runs in her veins and will always be a part of who she is, no matter her identity," the YouTube description reads. "The people of Gotham need a symbol to believe in, and there’s no one better than Batgirl to be that symbol."
Gotham Knights is slated to release for PS5 on 25th October 2022; the PS4 version has been cancelled. The game may have its work cut out, though, releasing in close proximity to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and God of War Ragnarok. Will you make some time for the superhero title? I really liked that DLC where you play as Batgirl in Arkham Knight. I’ve always hated the way she was fridged so it’ll be nice to play as her properly.
I have a very hard time getting excited for this game. I liked the Arkham games for the whole atmosphere and gameplay. This, to me, feels like a DC comics take on the Avengers game. I wish someone would just make a Batman game where you can switch between playing as Batman and Bruce Wayne.
I haven’t been blown away with the trailers for this game but I’m still very much looking forward to playing it, oddly.
@BrettAwesome I highly recommend the Telltale Batman games if you want to play as both characters!
