Century: Age of Ashes is a game that's been flying under the radar for a while, but it's actually been available on other platforms for months. Developer Playwing has announced with the above trailer that, finally, its free-to-play dragon combat game is making the leap to PS5 and PS4, and it all kicks off 19th July 2022.
As you can see in the video, it's a fast-paced multiplayer title in which you ride a big ol' dragon into battle, fighting other riders in the skies with all kinds of flashy elemental attacks. Four classes all bring their own abilities to the battlefield, and there are four modes of play, including a scaly spin on Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Last Man Standing. The last mode is Spoils of War, in which you must gather gold from around the map while protecting your team's hoard.
The launch will coincide with the arrival of Season 1, which adds the Stormraiser class, a new map, and a story "unfolding in 7 tomes", whatever that means. It's all free-to-play, so you've nothing to lose by giving it a try. From where we're sitting, it looks pretty cool — we'll certainly give it a shake.

Been waiting a long while for this. Feels like ages actually. Looks like some good solid fun.
July 19th though, right?
Wait so this is like Panzer Dragoon?!
Anyone know how the reviews are? Would like to try CAoA out.
@Coolmusic Coming from someone who has played it. It's a fun game at first. But they removed movement features, and constantly create and remove modes with the hope that fomo brings players back. Also certain dragons felt just so op. But that last point was my impression what it first came out.
@Coolmusic It's got mostly positive user reviews on Steam, which isn't always an amazing indicator of a game's quality, but it suggests the game's good enough to have fans. Might be worth checking out gameplay on YouTube, and that kind of thing.
Ace Combat with... dragons?
I'll take it
@RedRiot193 @ShogunRok: Alright, got it. Thanks for the replies!
