Warframe's next expansion is called The Duviri Paradox, and we got an extended look at gameplay during TennoCon 2022, the annual Warframe convention hosted by developer Digital Extremes. The expansion is slated to launch on PS5 and PS4 later in 2022.
The Duviri Paradox is an all-new open-world location that exists inside the mind of villain Dominus Thrax, the inhabitants of which are trapped in a grim, monochrome time-loop. You play as an outlaw known as the Drifter who must fight to break the endless cycle of death and rebirth.
The landscapes of Duviri are stark and grey, representing the mental state of Dominus Thrax. There appears to be some mechanic by which players will be able to restore colour to the world, but Digital Extremes didn't elaborate on that facet.
Even with its muted colour scheme, the world of The Duviri Paradox looks gorgeous, and the Drifter has a cool sci-fi cowboy aesthetic to him his well. We will be keeping an eye on this one.
In related news, Digital Extremes has announced they are working on a new game called Soulframe, which is set in the same as universe as Warframe.
What do you think of The Duviri Paradox? Have you been keeping up-to-date with Warframe? Break free from the cycle in the comments section below.

This looks very good imo. Lets colour this.
Does look pretty cool. Fair play to Warframe, their expansions always cater to the fans with something fresh and interesting.
Better horse riding and far better combat and maybe even storytelling than Assassin's Creed.
Too bad this game is so hard to get into
@BoldAndBrash It's pretty easy I think. I got into warframe about 5 years ago and it's been around for 10 years. Just take your time and complete all the nodes on the solar system and the quests. By the time you are done with those you would pretty much know the ins and outs of the game.
Got pretty burned out after around 3000 hours of Warframe but this might just pull me back. Amazes me that Digital Extremes can add massive new areas and eventually optimize them fully and shrink the overall install size.
Then you get Bungie who have to steal your purchased add on content to stop their engine from collapsing whenever they add something new.
Just installed Warframe after several years... Those changes! Haven't seen such a great progress in a F2P game in a long time.

Yeah I think I got overwhelmed at first. Loved the gameplay though so I may give it another shot
I really like the fact they keep improving the game. The spaceship and mech battles are pretty cool too. They significantly reduced the crafting material costs to build them also. So not much of a grind.
