Way of the Hunter is an authentic hunting game that takes place in massive open areas across both Europe and the USA, and it's releasing on PS5 on 16 August.
We got a look at the Pacific Northwest in a trailer showing off the many types of animals that inhabit the area.
Featuring realistic weaponry, diverse ecosystems, and vast hunting territories encompassing 55 square miles, Way of the Hunter supports cooperative play so that you won't get lonely out there.
You can check out the title's announcement trailer below for a better look at gameplay.

The one game I'm genuinely hyped for this year 🙌
Pacific Northwest native here. Can confirm it is indeed vast.

That is all.
"55 square miles"
how many GTA5 maps is that?
I’d kill for a game like this except you just pet the deer instead of brutally murdering them for sport.
@nessisonett Another PNW native here, I can confirm our urban deer are quite friendly and approachable when they aren't eating your garden, so this seems doable.
@thecricket We have foxes in our garden sometimes and they’re honestly more afraid of us than we could ever be of them. Boggles the mind that people hunt them.
The sense of scale in those hunting games is always something that catches my eye in comparison with other games. When you see a mountain in those games, it "is actually" a mountain, unlike a mountain in Skyrim, where you can bunny hop to the top of it.
@nessisonett 100%. I'd love to explore this world and do just about anything in it other than shoot animals.
