While FIFA 23’s Ultimate Edition is making history by placing Chelsea forward Sam Kerr alongside global icon Kylian Mbappé, both players will feature on the standard editions as well. In the case of PSG’s star man, you’ll find him on virtually all bog-standard copies of the game, while Kerr is the cover star in Australia and New Zealand. If you live outside of those countries and still want the Kerr box art, you’ll be able to grab it as a worldwide Amazon exclusive.
We’ll have a lot more on FIFA 23 in the coming days, but for now EA Sports is focusing on its cover stars. “It’s an honour and a dream come true to be on the cover of FIFA 23,” Kerr exclaimed. “It’s been incredible to work with Kylian and the whole EA Sports team, and I can’t wait for fans to get their hands on a copy of the game.”
Mbappé added: “I’m thrilled to have been picked to be on the cover of EA Sports FIFA for the third time, and I’m even more excited to share a cover honouring women’s football with a great player like Sam Kerr. As a huge fan of the game, I'm excited for the final FIFA and can't wait to see you all on the pitch.”
Remember this is the last year that the FIFA branding will be used on an EA Sports soccer sim, with the series changing its name to EA Sports FC next year.

Put it this way, Sam Kerr is a million times more deserving than Jason McAteer or, god love him, Pat Bonner.
Lost opportunity to make a reversible cover with both of them!
@AFCC You'd have to have one as the default. Personally I like it this way. Women's football is the fastest growing sport and while the quality isn't quite there across all the teams yet, it's coming on leaps and bounds. I take my niece to see a few WSL games and it's great especially Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City etc. but the standard at the other teams is improving so fast. Good vibes and tickets are cheap too ftw.
Mbappe got the juice.word up son
@themightyant My papa has a Partick Thistle season ticket and I’ve been to see quite a few matches. I can guarantee that the WSL plays better football than the part-potato hard men that play in the lower Scottish leagues 😂
Third FIFA in a row with Mbappé on the cover, I don’t care about fifa but even I think that’s a bit excessive
@nessisonett Haha! haven't seen those potatoes. But I have seen quite a lot of WSL, WCL and England Women. Loads of quality football, but you do sometimes watch a team that wins 8-0 at a trot. Best players all going to the same clubs, not a level playing field right now.
God no not more mmbop 😴 if he had any ambition he wouldn’t be at the glorified retirement home that is PSG. Used to be we had multiple greats trading off for the honour now we’ve just this?
@SystemAddict If you got offered over 1 million a week would you turn it down?
@Jackpaza0508 He's no Rooney
@theMEGAniggle Plenty of time into retirement for it he’s proving nothing in that one horse league. Nothing; we know zero about the fellow until he goes to the Prem or La Liga. And even then hes just a 100m sprinter playing on the fringes he’s no midfield maestro, no truly great player so the game is in trouble if that is repeatedly your sole FIFA cover star.
@SystemAddict Yeah, I mean, the guy clearly has no ambition. Classic underachiever.
@SystemAddict midfield maestro? What are you talking about?? He's 23, won the WC for France at 19, he will move to RM or any other big club in the next 3 years. He's by far the best 23 year old in the world, one of the best in the UCL, one of the best attackers in the world. He will win everything.
You sound bitter and old, you don't know ball
@theMEGAniggle you know who else won the WC with France? Stephane Guivarche. Lookit he had the chance to go to Real, only the biggest club in the world but he turned it down. Why is that? Because he'll get found out. Probably the wisest "move" in his career...
@SystemAddict No way I've just seen someone compare Mbappe with that guy, you must be a troll.
Stick to watching your local team 👍

Pretty sure Guivarc'h won the Ligue 1 Golden Boot in both seasons prior to World Cup 98 as well as Ligue 1 with Auxerre, so would stand to reason that he was in the France squad.. I mean top scorer tends to help that..
Also explains his bad move to Newcastle.. post world cup pay-day..
@themightyant you could have some copies showing the guy and some copies with the girl.
I watched Portugal vs Sweden and the pacing of the games is so slow in comparison that I just can't get into it, but I do hope people support women's football more
@AFCC England v Spain tonight should be a good one tonight (8pm UK), two of the best teams in the world right now. Though like the men's game, and other sports, that doesn't always guarantee a good match, could be a cagy affair.
There's definitely differences. One very noticeable advantage is players don't seem to roll around on the floor like they've been shot every time someone goes near them. More sportsmanship, less gamesmanship. But I imagine that will change as the rewards increase
@themightyant 100% I watched all my country's games (Portugal) and the only times I saw them rolling on the floor they were either legit hurt or just tired. I think that part is enjoyable, but the speed is...painful! Also it doesn't help my team has a lousy defence that when they kick the ball it moves 3 or 4 meters instead of blasting it half field lol
