We’ve been eagerly anticipating the full release of MultiVersus for quite some time, and while this month’s public launch is billed an open beta – well, you’ll find us clogging up the servers from minute one. Of course, if you’ve already participated in the closed beta test, then you’ll get Early Access from 19th July – but everyone else will be invited in from 26th July.
For those of you who don’t know, this is effectively Super Smash Bros with Warner Bros characters, and it’s not a lazy rip-off either. We were blown away by the aforementioned closed beta test, which looked and played great in our opinion. Crucially, Iron Giant is joining the fray from 19th July, as if the game couldn’t possibly get any weirder!
There’ll be eight maps in the day one release, including the Batcave and Scooby’s Haunted Mansion, and there’ll even be local multiplayer for up to four players if you don’t want to compete online. There’s plenty to look forward to here, then – we actually reckon this is going to be a quiet hit – but will you be joining the fray?

Absolutely can't wait for this!
Can't wait to main Bugs Bunny again next week
This is such a great game and I'm so excited to play again! I was lucky to get a code for the Alpha and I loved it...if it keeps evolving with new characters this will be a huge hit!
Do we know if after the Beta we get the launch or is there a period of time where the game goes offline again?
I had problems with the special attack cool down, some HEAVILY Smash-inspred attacks, and the general floaty design. But this was still the funnest Smash clone I've played since PlayStation All-Stars (which I wish could get a remake, at the very least. Maybe do that instead of The Last of Us, Sony...). And, unlike the Nickelodeon one, plays different enough from the OG so as to not invalidate itself in comparison.
Plus, Bugs Bunny. Bugs G******** BUNNY.
@AFCC They said a few weeks ago that this open beta period would act like a soft launch for the game.
@MFTWrecks I heard progression will also be saved this time!!
Yeeessssssss
Enjoyed the closed beta so I'll be sure to jump in again.
Trailer looked fun, but only thing I'm worried about is single player content.
Have they confirmed a story mode or campaign?
