A new piece of God of War Ragnarok artwork has been posted to the PlayStation Arabia Instagram account. Featuring Kratos, Atreus, and Freya all caught up in battle on a sledge, you can view it below. The piece, of course, follows very shortly after God of War Ragnarok was announced to be releasing on 9th November 2022 for PS5 and PS4.
Accompanying the release date was a new CGI trailer, which combined with social media posts has gone on to light up platforms like Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. Multiple collector's editions were also revealed, with pre-orders going live on 15th July 2022. Do you like this new piece of artwork? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

That's awesome!
The energy Freya's giving off in this image is legit kind of scary.
Freya should be a tougher boss fight than Sigrun.
I'm already stressed tf out
Looks like a Christmas postcard. Burly dude with tats wielding an axe to go pick out a tree with his kid on a traditional sled ride through the woods by lantern light being attacked by a flying sword lady. Brings back memories.
I think this time there will be a few big set pieces like in uncharted 4 for example that are sort of scripted.
It looks great but I hope Freya isn’t going to be the final boss that you know from the beginning.
Hoping for more plot twist and a bigger picture than the previous game.
I have a feeling that Freya is gonna start out as a ‘nemesis’ style character and carry on that way for a good while… but events will transpire and she will have to join forces with Dad and Boy to defeat Thor (& maybe Odin).
That. God of war artwork look amazing.cant wait for that masterpiece to come.word up son
@colonelkilgore
Even better. : she helps Kratos kill Odin.
Then Thor kills Kratos but Freya save Atreus.
Second plot twist you play as Loki two years later and fight Thor 😅
@JJ2 I think Odin will be the final boss & freya will become an ally again towards the end
@JJ2 I know they're going to kill kratos off at some point because it's carved onto the wall in the giants realm in the first game but I don't know if I'd be that interested in the games without him lol
@Would_you_kindly
Oh I dont think the drawing/carving necessarily means much. It could be a hint but being a different director it could just be referring to facts that at some point that will happen and Atreus needs be aware of it.
I know that would be controversial for the fans but when you think of Nate Drake for instance, the devs need to let go of an ageing icon at some point. His daughter and Atreus here still leave it open for a possible continuation. So they could as well make it a formidable Loki in the ending and a look to a possible future of the franchise.
@WadeIsInsane I suspect we'll still get a God of War themed State of Play, most likely in September or October.
They got the release date and collector editions announcements out of the way, so future videos can just focus on gameplay and story.
@WadeIsInsane I'll probably be actively avoiding all future videos though, want to dive into this game fresh/blind.
