Might pick up vampire masquerade
Nicy try, Sony, but I have Premium, so maybe in 2025 when it runs out.
I don't understand devaluing of Deathloop. It's MS owned studio with a product stuck on competing system now, sure, but Nintendo would never do this to their IP whatever the exclusive platform might be.
@Cikajovazmaj - Probably because it will be on game pass in September and its sales have dropped off on PS5. Might as well try and sell more copies.
@Cikajovazmaj Because devaluing your IP through sales is a myth. Mostly spread by Nintendo fans defending Nintendo's over pricing of titles.
Putting Deathloop on a sale now can maximise sales before the full price launch on Xbox. This can help form an audience for the IP before it moves to being exclusive to Xbox. And it's only going to go on GP when it hits xbox.
@Shigurui but it was literally dead on arrival. Weeks after release it was on sale for 30$, and going onward price was in that range or lower.
@Richnj it is proven that significant number of users will hold off on purchase if product was ever listed for lower price, it applies to everything not just gaming.
Other than the fantastic Resident Evil discounts, I’d highly recommend picking up Spelunky 2, which at just £7.19, is an absolute bargain.
Picked up Helheim Hassle for £2.59, hoping it's as enjoyable as Manual Samuel was!
@Cikajovazmaj and a subset of the population will also determine that a product is never worth the price being asked for it. I have bought several Mario Karts over the years, I refuse to pay $60 or even $40 for Mario Kart on Switch.
I would also like to add I bought Deathloop on black friday for $20 and still haven't unwrapped it. XD
@Cikajovazmaj But you said the game was DOA. If people weren't paying full price on launch, why would they pay full price for the following year and beyond?
10 sales at £30 is better than one sale at £60, no?
@Richnj I meant determined as DOA by MS I guess. I'm not sure any publisher/studio should give up on a hyped product in a few weeks and determine that 50% price drop is justified.
Hm, interested to pick up Dawn of Ragnarök. But I’m equally interested in the Season Pass. Sold my copy of the base game but now when it’s on premium I might return for some of DLC.
Anyone played both and can recommend one or the other?
Nothing for me, still working through Ghost of Tsushima and have a queue of games from Extra, plus the PS5 versions of RE 2, 3 and 7 to get through.
Saves me money though so I'm not complaining.
I’ll pick up Resi 3. Other than that, nothing I want.
@Cikajovazmaj - I see where you are coming from, but generally the saturated state of game releases nowadays, tends to force companies to push the discounts earlier. Whether thats to keep relevance or garner more sales, ithat in itself is probably looked at on an individual basis..
Lets face it, in two/three weeks, a game will drop down the digital storefront and thus off a lot of peoples radar, as sadly the attention is usually moved to the next big thing, as thats how the industry likes it.
Deathloop got a lot of love compared to other games, with plenty of attention online, prior and after release, so it stands to reason that this is now cheaper to get a few more "through the door", as the hype has died down somewhat...
Something like Elden Ring, which looks to have a long term lifespan, doesnt need it, so i'd be exceptionally suprised to see that cheaper, barring hardcopies in shops, even at the end of the year.
I must be really picky because there's nothing there I'd buy that I don't have already. Word of advice: if you don't have it, don't sleep on PS5 Metro Exodus at like £6.whatever, that's a stunning price. Word of advice part 2: if you're thinking about The Medium, do NOT buy the standard edition, the Deluxe edition is £13 cheaper on this sale (the standard edition has no discounts at all).
Can't use the store till my suspension is over 🙈 , is remothered tormented father's on sale ?
