Going by its newest trailer, Sword and Fairy: Together Forever is looking more and more like an action RPG that's worth keeping an eye on. This is the latest entry in the long-running Taiwanese-developed series, which is particularly popular in China.
The combat system itself involves fast-paced combos, combined with character switching and devastating magical attacks. Again, it looks rather promising in the above glimpse at gameplay.
Together Forever is still set to release on the 4th August, so potential players don't have long to wait. Are you looking forward to this one? Have you played any of the previous Sword and Fairy games? Show some graceful moves in the comments section below.

Xuan Yuan Sword VII was a hidden gem for me, so I’m really looking forward to this.
Ill be buying this one day one.
I don’t know. Not holding my breath. Sword and Fairy 7 wasn’t that good. Gameplay was great, however, there’s usually very little of it in these games. Majority of the time is spent watching cutscenes.
@Bentleyma that game was a lot of fun, also an easy platinum trophy too.
@Bentleyma 100% I'd even consider Sword and Fairy 6 a hidden gem.
yes it was janky as heck , however it's story was great!
@LightningLeader I read somewhere physical copies might be a think. maximum games published xuan yuan sword 7, so it's possible they are handling this one
I just discovered the Ys series (although I believe I might have played earlier versions in the 90s but probably too high to remember.) Ys VIII on Switch has me hooked but I'm close to completing it and this looks like a game to scratch that itch, if IX doesn't do it... Awesome game and it's on PS as well. Just something about an ARPG on a handheld. Which makes sense being YS VIII was originally a Vita game.
@LightningLeader I have just checked the original Gematsu article I read regarding this game, physical copies are indeed "planned".
@tselliot IX definitely isn’t as good as VIII, but you should still enjoy it. Memories of Celceta is also a solid game in the series.
Kind of neat, but it's still a PS4 game with some bells and whistles for PS5 owners.
I still don't see any need to get rid of my Pro and get a 5.
.. yet. I'm sure it'll come, but here we are still getting PS4 games for PS5 owners.
@Bentleyma Definitely looks like a similar ARPG in the gameplay above. Meaning, I can't wait!
