Circus Electrique looks like a colourful take on the Darkest Dungeon formula, featuring 4v4 turn-based combat where positioning is an essential factor. Today we got a release date, and it's soon: the steampunk RPG is coming to PS5 and PS5 on 6th September.
In a post over on the PlayStation Blog, Creative Director of Zen Studios Chris Baker reminisced about the origin of the game, recalling that several members pitched the idea simply as "let's make an RPG set in a steampunk version of London where all your playable heroes are circus performers."
The rest is, as they say, history. The post is well worth a read if you are interested in this one; the team goes on to cite influences (Darkest Dungeon being chief amongst them), the title's difficulty and its atypical heroes.
We recently got a gameplay overview trailer, which gives you a better look at the game in action.

This looks good! I love the setting and I also trust Zen Studios.
Hey just wanted to let you know I think in the first paragraph of the artical you ment to say PS4 and PS5. You accidentally typed PS5 twice just thought you'd want to know. You can also delete my comment after if you like.
1. I am looking forward to this.
2.Darkest Dungeon was already scary without clowns!
As long as there are no roguelike elements, I'm in.
