Ubisoft has announced that it'll host a digital 'Ubisoft Forward' showcase on the 10th September. It'll be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch, and will feature "updates and news on multiple games and projects from Ubisoft teams around the world".
It's already been confirmed that there'll be an Assassin's Creed event in September, but it's unclear whether the event in question is the newly announced Ubisoft Forward. Either way, it seems incredibly likely that we'll be seeing the series' next game.
So what else does Ubisoft have up its sleeve? Well, there's the Prince of Persia remake, but that project's supposedly in a lot of trouble. It's been an age since we saw anything from Beyond Good & Evil 2, but again, we don't know whether it's show-worthy these days. Maybe a new Watch Dogs is in the works? Ghost Recon? Hey, at least the Splinter Cell remake is happening!
Ubisoft could have quite a stacked show, then, and we certainly wouldn't rule out a couple of surprises, either. What do you want to see from Ubisoft Forward? Make an open world in the comments section below.

It would be nice to see the next Assassin’s Creed go back to city-based parkour gameplay. I know it’s supposed to be a sorta live service series of campaigns a bit like a single-player Avengers but I guess it has potential to explore diverse time periods. The ending of Valhalla does provide a pathway to revisit Ezio and the like too.
Honestly, I feel Ubisoft is in the same slump that Capcom was in nearing the end of 2009 till about 2017 or so.
I'd love for Ubisoft to do anything that's not a third person open-world game. New Rayman, maybe?
Maybe they'll surprise us with an Assassin's Creed game as good as Syndicate?
Hey writer U forgot Avatar in the description mate...i think it's their main highlight of the show
I'd mock Ubisoft, but in reality they do make some great games. They just get in their own way. And get over-ambitious vs what can actually be delivered, over and over again. Their current fixation with live services, none of which make it big other than R6, renders them as kind of memey. And Sony may be heading that same route. But it's a shame, because when they do try, they tend to knock it out of the park.
@nessisonett The last one I really played into was Origins. I have the other two but haven't got to them yet in the backlog. If it's not city-based parkour....is it actually Assassin's Creed? I mean that's the template of what the franchise is.
I gotta say Valhalla won me over after how disappointed I was with Odyssey. I just played the Siege of Paris dlc a couple weeks ago and absolutely loved for the most part. Felt like I was playing a new entry from the Unity/Syndicate era which is a great thing. If the future is more like that AC is in good shape. Looking forward to the event though!
After the last few, looking forward to AC in general.
Cherry on top is that "the bang for the buck" is simply amazing. I just need to accept - nobody - will beat Kass in my book anytime soon.
If I had to guess itll be more hollow live service bs that their known for.
Ubisoft really got nothing. All their games look the same and are stale as hell. Not to mention their bs crap and unfinished projects that are in dev hell. They've really dragged their name through the muck recently.
Really hope to see an update for Prince of Persia. Perhaps it's still too early but a teaser for their Star Wars would be nice
Assassins creed - Empire !
I mean does anyone care at this point? It's very hard to get excited about anything they do that doesn't involve Rayman
Question : What do you want to see from Ubisoft Forward?
Me : Imagine and Petz games again.
I fully anticipate the next Assassin's Creed game to be an open world Genshin clone with that AC coat of paint where you pull gacha for your favorite assassins new and old and grind dailies and everything else that pollutes Genshin.
I know it's unlikely but would love a smaller Assassin's Creed game. Focus has been for years "oh this is 3x larger than the last game" instead of actually creating a great game. And back to 17th-18th century Europe please.
The only interesting thing Ubisoft has in the future is the new Mario + Rabbids game. Assassin's Creed sucks now, as does Far Cry, Ghost Recon, etc
A company without a vision.
Happy to see them finally date their next big event!
Now to wait for Sony to announce the date for their annual September showcase.
I'd like to see a brand new Prince of Persia game, as I love the ps2 trilogy. Other than that they have to come up with something new to make me interested. Too bad they had to ruin Watchdogs, it had real potential once.
