Another PS Plus Extra, Premium Game for August Hinted

Is the game at least somewhat fun for single-player users?

@AFCC It's okay in single-player. Gameplay can get quite repetitive without human squad mates but if you want an open world checklist-style game to just grind away the hours, you could do a lot worse than Wildlands.

I just wanna know what premium game will be added. Will we see Dino Crisis this month, can we get those Shadow Hearts games

I really liked the ai squadmates but I did play it before Ubi removed all the squad banter. I'm still baffled at that decision. I really hope this gets a 60fps patch.

@AFCC wildlands is much better than breakpoint. I found it wasnt quite as aggressive with microtransactions and they weren't needed honestly, you can get through the campaign fine. As Shogun said it get repetitive but what Ubisoft open world doesn't these days.

I haven’t subbed to premium yet as none of the games in the classics catalog appeal to me(and the newer games I can always just buy on the cheap when sales happen), but I’ve been hoping in the first year that they add Legend of Dragoon, Tomba, or Jersey Devil, those would be my reasons to sub(or any other older PS1 games I enjoyed)

I want them to add Watch dogs 3 since I'm interested in the "play any npc" concept but not too interested in buying it.

why do they keep adding old ubisoft games that dont have 60fps patches

Got on game pass for the first time, and I gotta say I’m completely unimpressed. The way this has been talked up as if it is full of the best of the best and honestly it’s not that different than what PS offers. I would say that PS has far better exclusives.

Note: Cloud gaming on my phone is THE best feature game pass has going for it. Day one exclusives don’t matter when you have so few of them.

I actually preferred this game to Breakpoint, even with the looter shooter elements removed. The story made a lot more sense and the map wasn't quite as cluttered as the monstrosity that is Breakpoint's

Forza horizon 5, halo infinite are gaming gems, 1st party and i dont see horizons newest iteration on ps plus and i dont expect to see god of war ragnarok day one on that service either. Does ps plus have ea play? All the yakuza library? Guardians of the galaxy? All the bethesda games??.

Sure xbox game pass hasnt got the single player adventure games playstation has but does ps plus have a ***** ton of rts, shooters, racers, indies like gamepass?? I seriously think your trying to low ball what gamepass has too offer. But lets not forget this site is home to ponies.

@Grimwood gamepass gets at least 12 games put on there monthly sometimes more. Ok not AAA bangers but not everything worth playing is triple A.

@Gh05tm4ch1n3 correct, the two games you mentioned are the best games on the service. They in fact are the games I went to play first. Yes, PS+ has guardians of the galaxy, it will have all the yakuza games. Surprisingly I didn’t even see the newest Doom on game pass.

My point isn’t that game pass isn’t good. It’s just not light years better than the media has made it out to be. My expectations were far too high. Side by side, the services are not that different outside of X Cloud.

@Gh05tm4ch1n3 ps plus did also receive 17 games previous month and Yakuza? learn to read.There are plenty of AAA games on plus. And again you mention the only 2 first party titles that have been added in 2 years. whooptidoo
Dont find gamepass bad, its pretty nice. But ps plus is only here for 2 months and the games that Sony adds are very good.
And this month plus essential line up are bangers. I'm not a big fan of RTS, shooters or racing. That's why I don't have an Xbox. Used to be a 360 for Fable. And that's the only Xbox series I like. Playstation has a lot more to offer in terms of games for me.

@Akila_24 a service you can access via console, mobile, pc, laptop, tv. Can you say the same for ps plus? Sonys cloud streaming has microsoft dependencies.

@Gh05tm4ch1n3 I mean you can do some of that with remote play but it’s not nearly as good and has to run from your home console. XCloud, in my opinion, is the star of the show.

Was hoping for some cute indie game. Not into mafia or military stuff.

@AFCC that's the only way I play it lol, love ghost recon wildlands better then breakpoint and played both solo. Prefer solo with any game and it's fine

@ShogunRok I 100% don't need a huge game for griding! I am still just a couple of hours into Division 2, which was a game I was enjoying, and I want to come back to it someday! And also I have other huge open world games -.-
