The first DLC character for the second season of Guilty Gear Strive has been announced, and it's none other than Bridget — the yo-yo wielding bounty hunter who's appeared in previous Guilty Gear titles. The yo-yo's still here, by the way, and Bridget's looking better than ever.
The best part, though? Bridget launches today — that's the 8th August 2022 — alongside a new character colour pack as part of the game's second season pass. Another new character is set for later this year, while the next two arrive in 2023.
Are you happy to see Bridget again? Keep that yo-yo spinning in the comments section below.

The patch also fixes PS5 input lag!!!!!
@Voltan Nice, that was fast!
This may be the reason I get back into GG. She looks like my type of character. Although I said that about Jackie-O is clearly higher up in the mastery department.
@ErrantRob Bridget is a Boy btw who was raised as a Girl to keep him save
I don't play fighting games but this series has the best character designs, seriously a treat to look at.
looks like a fun character to play as, will maybe use as a secondary to Axl.
ArcSys seriously?! The animation, presentation and art style is on such another level.
Man his animation is kind of insane, especially the walking animations. The music is good too.
@ErrantRob
>"she"
All these years later and people are still tricked by one of the original traps.
@IonMagi @Matroska Apparently there's new lore in Strive regarding that (in Bridget's arcade mode dialogue)
@Voltan yeah I read that Bridget is now supposed to be a Trans Girl after commenting lol
@Voltan If there is, it's probably fan fic inserted by the American translation like they've done before. He has the symbol for male on his headwear, for one thing.
@Matroska No longer "apparently", as I've seen the arcade mode ending myself now and Japanese speakers confirm it's the same in JP version. It's pretty clear that Bridget moved on from trying to prove she's masculine enough (to prove that reason she was raised as a girl was invalid) - which was canon in GGXX and still is canon for her past in Strive - to accepting herself and coming out as a trans woman.
Also that's not a "symbol for male", it's the androgyne symbol
Nice. she seem agile, and the range seems good.
