Publisher Prime Matter has handed a 3rd November 2022 release date to its upcoming cult horror game The Chant. An all-new trailer has also been revealed, which features many gameplay clips. "Players will encounter terrifying creatures and will fight using occult weapons and abilities, or they can surrender and flee This spiritual journey is already turning into a nightmare," the YouTube description reads. "What will you choose: fight or flight?"
The game is releasing in a period packed to the rafters with promising horror titles. In October we have Resident Evil Village DLC Shadows of Rose and Signalis. November then begins with The Chant before The Callisto Protocol comes along in early December. Will you be soaking up all this horror goodness at the end of the year? Add another to the list in the comments below.

Looks good. Great time to be a horror fan at the moment.
I'll be picking this up day one.
Is this Cult of the Lamb DLC?
I'm so glad the trend of horror games making you run and hide from enemies is coming to an end.
Games like Silent Hill were scary as hell and still managed to integrate combat effectively. I want to be able to fight enemies, but that doesn't mean I want my character to control like a roided out space marine.
This looks promising. Kinda weird it's skipping last gen consoles, though, because it doesn't look next-gen at all.
I haven't watched the new trailer yet but I already have this preordered.
@Ralizah Couldn't have said it better. Still wish there was a new SH game from original team but that's a dream.
@Ralizah @IAmAshCohen17 Oh definitely, horror fans will be eating very well from November to March.
Especially with the recent November delay of Evil West and the February leak for Dead Island 2.
@KidBoruto Have I missed this, is Evil West really delayed to November?
We also have Scorn in October. Those of us who don't just bat for PS
@Mostik Yup Evil West is now releasing on November 22.
