We got a teaser back in June, but today the first full trailer for Cyperpunk: Edgerunners was released. Edgerunners is a Netflix animated series set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a collaboration between developer CD Projekt Red and animation studio Trigger, perhaps best known for anime series like Little Witch Academia and Kill la Kill. The series will debut exclusively on Netflix in September.
This animated series tells the story of a street kid doing their best to survive on the mean streets of Night City, in a dystopian future in which body modification and corporate greed have run rampant.
What do you think of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners? Will you check it out? Hack into the comments section below.

The cyberpunk lore is great, so it should translate well to an adaptation. And Trigger are quality at what they do so this is looking promising.
That hurt my eyes. I'm not a fan of anime but I love everything Cyberpunk so I'll check it out. I really hope some of the cars (Shion Coyote) from the game feature in this, they are brilliantly designed.
I didn’t know Cyberpunk was getting an anime. 100% gonna watch this when it comes out. It has the lore and environment to be really interesting. Depends on what route they pick though. I’m streaming it regardless!
Excellent, I loved my time in Night City so anything which takes me back is more than welcome.
Looking forward to this. Trailer looked good.
Thanks for the news.
I dare say that I'll also be checking it out. However, I doubt that it'll be something that I'll continue to watch, purely because of the Anime aspect (I intensely dislike that artwork style).
This is way more interesting than the game, now I want a game of this anime version of cyberpunk 2077 lol.
Looks great! I wonder of this will influence any of the upcoming expansions for the game?
Fingers crossed they dub it over!
@daveofduncan I am 100% sure that they will dub it. Hopefully the dub is good.
@rachetmarvel @daveofduncan Netflix has rarely ever not dubbed their anime exclusives, so it should be a guarantee.
