Sci-fi adventure game Deliver Us Mars has joined Hogwarts Legacy in a delay that pushes it back to 2nd February 2023. Originally set for a release on PS5, PS4 next month, studio KeokeN Interactive says it wants to make sure the title is "the best it can be at launch" and so needs more time to "live up to that ambition". A new trailer will be included in the Future Games Show next week, as part of Gamescom 2022.
A post from the developer on Twitter continues: "Whilst we understand this news might be disappointing, we are excited for you all to face the challenges of Mars, traverse its hostile environments, and discover the mystery of the ARKs. Your patience will allow us to deliver the best experience we can."
Deliver Us Mars is the sequel to 2020's Deliver Us the Moon, which recently received a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade. Both versions are currently part of PS Plus Extra. A list of All PS Plus Games can be viewed through the link.
While not as high profile, Deliver Us Mars joins the growing list of games delayed out of 2022 and into next year. The aforementioned Hogwarts Legacy is one of them, and so too is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, potentially Marvel's Midnight Suns, Arc Raiders, Forspoken, Sea of Stars, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

I mean at least Cyberpunk did something in terms of future quality control in games.
No one is surprised. This is about the time we start hearing of everything that's going to be pushed to the following year. I expect Instinction will be next to be announced as missing a 2022 launch.
On the flip side, I'm very surprised Ragnarok wasn't delayed.
God of war is the reason for delays. No one wants to go against that bad boy
2022 has been one of the driest years for decent games in quite some time hasn't it?
2023 is going to be mega though.
FGS. 2022 has gone from being one of the best years in gaming, to one of the worst.
All these delays into 2023 probably means all the 2023 games have been pushed back into 2024.
Not really a bad thing as there's still too many games coming out late this year. The only problem with all of these delays is now 2023 could very well be oversaturated, especially early on.
In the end though, if it means the game will be better in the end, then great. Too many good games rather than a bunch of disappointments is obviously better, and I can sort out when I will play them all later.
Why do developers give us release dates? 😅
@Anke Really i have enough to play.
@Flaming_Kaiser I'm struggling. I even went back and finished seven games from 2015/6.
@Anke Im getting old that is why i love short games now. 🤪
Just finished the Demon Souls remake though clocked in 163 hours and got the Platinum. 😁
