Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling Into Darkness' 2nd September release date is fast approaching, and today we got a new trailer detailing its various mechanics, which are the bedrock of the game.
For the uninitiated, Made in Abyss is based on an anime of the same name, in which you play as a Cave Raider, adventurers who delve into the mysterious Abyss (a deep and dangerous underground passage) in search of relics from bygone civilizations.
The gameplay overview trailer teaches us the basics of exploration, in a manner that will be immediately recognizable to fans of the Monster Hunter franchise. You undertake exploration or hunting quests, equip yourself for the journey, and do your best to get back out alive. Don't be fooled by the cutesy visuals, Made in Abyss is dark as hell (excuse the pun), and you will need to manage the trauma and physical anguish your character endures.

I just want to reiterate how cool it that this game is being dubbed, and how much I appreciate seeing the Sentai cast getting credited in this trailer.
It's actually looking pretty good. Spike Chunsoft might surprise me for once.
Any word if Kevin Penkin is scoring this? Would make it worth the look alone.
The game looks fun, but I am so confused by this game's art direction. This game looked like it had a different art director for the character design, the menu UI/UX design, the logo's typography, the trailer's typography, and the environment design. I mean, look at the menu screen at 1:13 in the video for example. The UI on the left, middle, and center look like they were designed by 3 completely different designers. It's just bizarre, honestly.
Wow. Actually surprised by how good this looks. Gone from a curiosity to a day one buy for me
@ShadowofSparta pretty sure yes, can't remember where I read this, maybe on his twitter
@denpanosekai that's pretty awesome, still remember being floored when Hanezeve Caradhina starts playing at the start of the series
@Enuo I have zero experience with their games, but terrible story aside I've heard nothing but good things about Jump Force, another game they've worked on.
