The big August update for Gran Turismo 7 is available to download now on PS5, PS4 for free, and it brings with it four new cars, multiple track layouts, and more Menus to work through. The new vehicles are the McLaren MP4/4 '88 F1 car, the Pontiac GTO 'The Judge' '69, a Cayman GT4 '16 from Porsche, and a reimagining of the De Tomaso Mangusta from high-end brand Christian Dior.
The first three cars are viewable above, and the remodelled racer from Christian Dior can be viewed below:
In addition, update 1.20 adds three new track layouts for the Circuit de Barcelona - Catalunya circuit. One removes the chicane that runs into the final corner, another skips the whole of Sector 1 and half of Sector 2 through a hairpin turn a the end of the grid lane, and more is designed as a rally track complete with a jump in the middle.
You can also look forward to completing two more Menus via the GT Café. The Abarth Collection is unlocked at Collector Level 27 while the Gr.2 Racing Cars Collection can be worked through from Collector Level 38. This update builds upon past patches that have greatly increased the number of cars in the racing simulator, but it was the addition of a new Tomica-inspired Scape that had fans gushing last month.
Which of these new cars will you be taking for a test drive? Save up for them in the comments below.

Another good update. Really enjoy the new menus and working through them.
Just let us sell duplicate cars please.
Bit of a shame it's not the new tracks that were rumoured. But more for free is always good.
Now, announce the PSVR2 mode ready for launch.
Pretty good update. I must turn on my PS5 this evening. I find Gran Turismo 7 and all GT games to be very time consuming, which means other games don't get played. I backed away from it a little recently to play other games. I started playing Resident evil 4 hd on PS4.
I played it originally on PS2 years ago and loved it. Then a few years ago I played it on Wii, the supposed "best version" and absolutely hated it. Poor muddy graphics and the pointer is a waste of time and is not the original directors vision. Give me original tank control's any day. Anyway on PS4 it is epic. I'm having a ball. I'm going to give it a few playthrough's.
@SoulChimera
What track is rumoured?
Good update, but I'm still waiting for the C8 Corvette and the ability to sell cars, c'mon PD!
I’m really enjoying this game. There is a ton of content and if you suck like I do, years of replay value.
Cool, but I’ve finished it now. Done all the menus, gold on all the licenses, got all the trophies…this is why I dislike episodic content. I’ve moved on. Just release it all at or around launch and then get to work on the next game.
Keep the updates coming. Gran Turismo 7 is my personal Game of the Year so far, and the more cars, tracks and Cafe menu’s, the better.
@SoulChimera God's yes. A PSVR2 mode for this is what I'm waiting for.
@The_Pixel_King agree my GOY as well.
@Shepherd_Tallon dying to try any good car game in VR. This will blow my mind
@thefourfoldroot1 you know they can carry on updating this game and work on a new one.
Plus I'd argue that all the stuff you just said you'd done is the full game. How many hours did all that take you? I've got 140 hours in the game so got my monies worth.
Everything they keep adding is a bonus to me. If they keep adding more menus and tracks for the next few years like they have been doing it just keeps adding to the value.
@Serialsid
Nowhere near that long, but I was happy with the game and it’s content. I’d just rather they focus on a new game now and not keep on focusing on the old. Especially as I’ll never go back to it. I’ll likely just trade the game in now. Far too much to play to replay games even with slightly new challenges or content. Which I suspect is why many companies do this, to prevent games reaching the secondhand market…
@JudgeDredd
Hi, thanks for that. Don't know if I'm available Sunday but if I am I'll look you up.
@tinCAT-zero There was a rabbit hole thread on GT Planet about Grand Valley. That was the main one. Then there was murmurs of other random tracks.
