Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is the triumphant sequel to Mount & Blade: Warband, an RPG on a massive open-ended scale that will gallop onto PS5 and PS4 on 25th October.
In the Mount & Blade series, you guide your character from unknown wanderer to renowned warrior, to noble king or emperor, if the fancy takes you. Or you could make an economic killing, levelling up your merchantile skills and spending your time as a travelling merchant. Freedom is the name of the game, and there really is nothing else like it on consoles.
The large-scale battles, replete with massive sieges, are a true stand-out, and building up an army, managing your lands, and defending them from jealous neighbours never gets old.
RPG fans looking for something a little bit different are in for a treat with this one, as Bannerlord is the kind of game one can easily lose themselves in for hundreds, if not thousands of hours, if they so desire.

The game is finally getting a full release 2.5 years after launching in Early Access
I know some people who play this game almost exclusively on PC. It does look good fun.
Interesting. I didn't realise it was coming to consoles. Will be sure to give it a look.
Edit: I just discovered the original was on consoles too. I had no idea.
Hopefully they do a bit more work on optimising the controls for a pad. Used to play hours of M&B on PC and on mouse and keyboard it was fantastic. The PS4 version was pretty much unplayable with the weird analogue stick controls.
@Shepherd_Tallon … yep!
I’ve put a lot of time in it. You have to cheese a bunch of it and there are some glitches but it’s pretty darn good considering it’s age.
YESSSS! Love Warband 1, played it for hundreds of hours on PC and then PS4 as well. I’ll be here day 1.
