Marvel's Midnight Suns is the latest game to be hit with a delay, but said delay may not be quite as long as you think. Take-Two's latest earnings report reveals that the upcoming RPG has been moved out of its previous 7th October release slot, and no new date has been given. However, the publisher says that it's still targeting a launch this fiscal year — which would mean that the game should release before the end of March 2023.
So we're not looking at a huge delay. At most, it'll be pushed back five months or so, and the extra development time will apparently allow Firaxis Games to "deliver the best possible experience".
It's also worth noting that all of this only applies to the PS5 version of Midnight Suns — not the PS4 version. The last-gen edition is marked down as "TBA" on Take-Two's official schedule, meaning that it might be arriving even later than its current-gen counterpart. We're sure that a full announcement will be made in the near future.
Are you disappointed with this delay? Are you looking forward to building a superhero squad in Midnight Suns? Think tactically in the comments section below.

Another game has been delayed. Let's see how many games will be delayed next year.
Seems we're very much in the territory of last gen causing problems for new releases.
I wonder if they're removing the card system.
I saw delay too many times today
Need to get the monetisation just right also if they have time then some bugs too.
I understand that many of these delays have a good reason but it doesn’t stop it from being annoying as hell.
Oh noooooooooooo. Was really looking forward to this.
I've started to simply assume all initial release dates will be delayed by at least a few months. Makes news like this hurt a lot less.
Publishers really need to drop the PS4/Xbox One. Almost 9 year old consoles. Enough! Focus on current gen only.
How long till we get the headline “Game (insert title here) to actually release on time in 2022”!
It's time for studios to stop giving release dates unless they're 99% sure they can make them. Delays becoming the norm is a problem.
It's one thing for us to be patient and understand that development takes time. It's another for studios to set expectations then go back on them time and time again.
I'd rather they estimate further out, then surprise us with a moved-up release date if it plays out that way.
It's the boy who cried wolf... Release dates mean very little these days and it's to get excited about or plan around them anymore.
Allot of game delay's announced today. But as always, it's better than rushing and getting a bad game. The excitement for this game for me will still be there.
Fallout 4 model is king. Announce the game, and oh by the way, it’s out in 5 months. You simply cannot go wrong with that. I understand the games that were in development prior to COVID, and delays coming for those. But new games now entering development should not get that pass. Lockdowns do not work, and looking at all the game delays that hit games in development pre COVID, the games industry does not appear to deal well with remote work forces.
@SinfulDestroyer @Athrum I doubr they'll be removing the card system, seems very integral to their gameplay.
I'll still play this, but will be waiting until the price dips to $20 or it's added to PS+ Essential or Extra/Premium.
Not interested at all in this TBH
we didnt get the meme cyberpunk style jpeg anouncing the delay? dissapoint
That's a bummer but would rather this game release when ready. I hope they keep the card format and release a decent game. Kind of worried about the number of times it's been delayed though.
