Anticipated horror game The Callisto Protocol is heading to Gamescom Opening Night Live next week with a new look at gameplay. Striking Distance Studios CEO Glen Schofield will also be there live in person alongside Geoff Keighley to discuss the Dead Space-inspired title. The host teases this latest demo is "a step beyond" what was shown earlier this year at Summer Game Fest Live, so expect even more horror and gore.
The title joins the likes of Hogwarts Legacy and Sonic Frontiers at the live show, but it's been confirmed Sony won't be part of the proceedings. You'll be able to catch the full showcase live right here on Push Square, and if you have any other questions, please refer to our When Is Gamescom Opening Night Live? guide. The Callisto Protocol is out for PS5, PS4 on 2nd December 2022, so it'll be a haunting experience just before the arrival of Father Christmas.
Are you looking forward to seeing more next week? Avoid that saw blade in the comments below.

God of war and the callisto protocol are my most hyped games.cant wait for more gameplay.this game have the potential to be a instant classic.word up son
I really don't need to see anymore because I was sold on the idea long before that State of Play footage. I just hope they stick the landing.
I rather want them to stop showing so much of the game so we can experience the surprises ourselves while playing. The latest trailer had a pretty good close shot scene which broke the surprise .
Hoping this one doesn't get delayed!
Its such a shame Sony don't see the public worthy enough of showing up and supporting the gaming community taking part in these events. Maybe not financially viable...but you have to figure that at some point MS is going to reap some sort of rewards for supporting them. Like surely there's some benefit to get you out there in the collective consciousness that you care about the gaming community. State of plays alone will only travel so far.
Hopefully we'll see Sony making a bit more effort again soon. Maybe when they push psvr2
Haven't been this exited for a game in years. I trust Schofield when it comes to these titles.
This, RE4 and Deadspace will make one hell of a winter.
Great news Callisto is there as it means I'm guaranteed to be excited about something at Gamescom if it ends up a crap show. PS not at Gamescom comes as no surprise really, especially if the actual PS Showcase potentially could happen not long after it
@playstation1995 Same here buddy, they both look awesome, I'm also hyped for Evil West!!
This is one of the strange games for me. I would love to play it as it looks amazing and i love sci fi, but being sh*t scared of everything but my shadow i know full well it isnt gonna happen.
"the Dead Space-inspired title"
It's more of a spiritual sequel, since Schofield created Dead Space.
Looks like Geoff show is going to be quite interesting.

@EpicMouse just do what I do and donโt watch the trailers or read the articles. Simple
The Dead Space vibes are really getting me looking forward to this.
@Philbop That's what I plan to do, though it's hard to avoid new footage if you're watching the livestreams for gaming showcases/events/conventions.
@playstation1995 Fingers crossed dude, GOW is definitely the GOAT but yeah anything horror from the Deadspace team has to be up there, the first one is an absolute banger and probably my favourite PS3 game. Enjoy buddy.
Aye youโre right there buddy! It does look amazing though. Made me play dead space 2 again which still holds up quite well to be fair.
