NIS America has revealed that it'll be hosting a special showcase next week, on the 7th September. The publisher is promising four new game announcements, plus updates on upcoming titles. The show begins at 8AM PDT / 11AM EDT / 4PM BST.
So, do we have any idea what might be shown? Well, NISA is describing the aforementioned four announcements as "brand-new", and so we're expecting at least a couple of surprises. That said, Disgaea 7 was unveiled just last week in Japan, which could mean that we're in for a localised reveal.
As for upcoming games, NISA currently has the likes of Trails from Zero (29th / 30th September), Kamiwaza: Way of the Thief (14th October), Yomwari: Lost in the Dark (28th October), and Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana's PS5 version (18th November) on the docket.
Is there anything you hope to see from NISA? Give us your best dood in the comments section below.

A release date for Trails to Azure maybe? I know Trails from Zero isn't even out yet but if any of the previous Trails games are any indication I'll be ready for another one as soon as I finish the previous one! I can't seem to get enough of that series. I just finished Trails in the Sky The 3rd about a week ago and am absolutely pumped for Zero! Honestly my most anticipated game of the year!
@Royalblues
Trails is very daunting to get into to say the least so I get thinking it's too late to get into but if you ever find yourself with plenty of time between releases your interested in and love a good classic JRPG I highly recommend them. I started getting into them in 2020 and only just recently finished the last one (that is localized anyway). It was a long process getting caught up but I don't regret a thing!😄
the new titles are:
GrimGrimoire Once More
Void Terrarium 2
Process of Elimination (Tantei Bokumetsu)
Monster Menu: The Scavenger's Cookbok (Shikabanegurai no Boukenmeshi)
NISA put the site too early and someone took a screenshot lol

@SplooshDmg Yeah all Ys games can be played as stand alone. I looked into that when i played Ys8 which at the moment still is the only one i played. Thats especially nice for people late to the series.
@Korgon I really hope they will port the Sky games to modern systems as well like they are doing with Zero and Azure. The series looks very interesting, but don't really want to play games on my potato pc anymore and prefer to game on my ps5/xbox nowadays. So if besides those 2 we will also get the sky games this will open up the series for other people as well who dont really game on pc.
@SplooshDmg YS IX is also available on playstation plus extra and so is XIII so I don't know if you would rather the trophies over what luna is offering.
@Lavalera
Yeah it's a shame the Sky trilogy is only complete on PC. Sky 1 and 2 are on Vita via PSP backwards compatibility if you got one of those but Sky 3 is only on PC.
Also unfortunately it's out of NISA's hands since Sky was published by XSEED in the West and they don't seem very interested in porting those over. Maybe at least Sky 1 and 2 can come to PS5 though PS+ Premium some day though.
@Lavalera The problem with the Sky games, at least the current localizations, is that they were done by XSEED. I'm not sure if Falcom ports them to newer consoles if another company can actually do localized ports of them or not. The same holds true for Cold Steel 1 and 2, as those were also done by XSEED, but those have a PS4 version worldwide.
@MasterVGuides @Korgon Ah thanks. I didn't know the Sky trilogy was another publisher. Well then i have to either play them on pc or watch some recap video. I own CS 1 -4 already but want to wait playing them after zero and azure release. I already saw there are 2 ways to play them and i think i will start with cs 1/2 before startingn the others.
@SplooshDmg To be clear, the Ys games take place in a connected timeline, and some games feature references to older ones. It's just that the series isn't going for a larger, interconnected narrative like the Trails games are.
Playing them in order is probably ideal, but it's also not a problem to start with the newer games. The only ones that really need to be played in order are the first two games.
@SplooshDmg It's just a pity that XSEED is squatting on the Western distribution rights for Trails in the Sky and the first two Cold Steel games.
If NISA had them, we'd have CS 1 & 2 on Switch, and they'd probably be planning a release of the TitS trilogy both consoles they release games on.
Although, as a PC player, you don't have to worry about any of that.
@Royalblues
It would really be a shame to see someone miss out on the Trails series because you think it's too late. I started with Cold Steel and only later decided to check out the older games.
As long as we get a Disgaea 7 Western announcement and more Trails franchise updates I'll be happy.
