Action RPG Path of Exile is getting a new expansion next week, it's called Lake of Kallandra, and it will see players travel to the eponymous lake, the very form of which will be shaped by the player's actions. Lake of Kallandra will be available, for free, on 25th August.
As you travel the dark and brutal continent of Wraeclast, you will encounter Mirrored Tablets, that will allow you to customize the encounters found within the Lake, and serve as an additional endgame activity for seasoned Path of Exile veterans.
In addition, the expansion will introduce new gems, unique items, and improvements to the Atlas endgame, the Harvest, Beyond and Archnemesis activities, on top of the usual swathe of balancing changes and quality of life improvements.
You can check out the full and exhaustive list of changes and additions in the Lake of Klandra patch notes.

I really enjoyed my time with path of exile and like warframe its amazing at how much support its had over the years for free..i'm waiting for path of exile 2 though so i'm not sure if i'll ever have the time for this..all those big devs who charge an arm and a leg for naff stocking filler content should take a leaf out of these guys book..
Tried playing this a couple of months ago but the lag was really bad. Tried it for a few weeks periodically and it didn't get better. Apparently it is fairly common and it can be more problematic around the time a new season starts. I was playing wireless which is not recommended, apparently, but every other game I have played online has been fine. It's not my first time playing it and it was okay a couple of years ago. Bit of a bummer!
@kyleforrester87 I haven't had lag issues in over a year. I'm also on ps5 if that makes a difference.
@Cutmastavictory same here..ps5 and never had any real lag issues..well none that rendered it unplayable..
