River City Girls 2, the eagerly anticipated follow-up to the excellent River City Girls, has been delayed. Originally slated to launch in Late Summer 2022, the bodacious brawler is now not expected until "sometime after" that window.
The next instalment in the long-running Kunio-Kun franchise (which began all the way back in 1986), the series has its roots in the Japanese arcade scene, and the colourful and chaotic brawlers maintain a legion of loyal fans.
We enjoyed the original River City Girls, particularly its bright aesthetic and memorable boss encounters, and you can read our full thoughts on the matter in our review. If you need a quick refresher, check out the teaser trailer we got for River City Girls 2 back when it was announced.

I had a feeling it was going to be delayed, they said earlier it was going to be released during the summer which is basically over now, but I’m glad that they are confirming it nonetheless. I’m still hyped for RCG2.

River City Girls 2 delay = Colin, sad
We've had a lot of great beat-em-ups this year. I'm looking forward to this one and River City Girls Zero!
