Session is an upcoming skating simulation game developed by Crea-Ture Studios, set to kick-flip its way onto PS5 and PS4 on 22nd September. We got a new trailer scouting out some sick spots in the Bay Area, in iconic locations from San Francisco's rich skating history.
Set up the ultimate line in China Banks, or annoy the tourists down at Pier 7 with your antics. Capture your best tricks and gnarliest wipeouts, edit them with the in-game video editor, and upload them for the world to see.
While Skate remains the household name in sim skating, the next game is still a ways off, so Session will have a real chance to carve out a rep of its own when it launches next month, provided it can stick the landing.
What do you think of Session, will you be checking it out? Let us know if our verbiage was totally tubular in the comments section below, fellow kids.

Something looks a bit off with the graphics. In some spots it looks really good in others it looks like a late cycle PS3 game. Also does anyone know if you can actually get off your board and walk. It's a minor nitpick but it always breaks immersion along with magically resetting after taking a fall. Interested in checking it out either way as almost being 40 I think I missed the train for hopping on anything other than a digital skateboard.
Never even heard of this before. I hope it's better than skater XL. That game was a serious let down.
Been playing session since 2019 release on PC (actually, also played the prealpha demo in 2017 too). The physics of the game have really gone backwards so I don't recommend jumping in at this time.
Are the controls the same as skate?
Skater xl was let down by the r1 & r2 steering control. Twin stick control of skate is much betterer
@stBoa steering is L2 and R2 in Session
@NeThZOR ah ok thanks, think will skip and wait for skate.
Hope the free to playness doesn't ruin what skate 1,2&3 had , those games were great
Really liked this one in alpha on the PC, wonder how it’ll turn out on console.
@stBoa You can choose Legacy controls, this will give you Skate controls.
@AldusRavencorn You can walk, run, and jump
@jimmy10nis
Thanks for the heads up, might have a look depending on the price..
I couldn't work this out when I first saw the trailer. It looks like a real world skating video with almost an ultra realistic look at times but with a GTA character model inserted into it like a deepfake 😱
