If you’re a PC player from a select country, then your spider-sense should be tingling today. Sony has dropped the price of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on the PC, meaning if you already pre-ordered you may be eligible for a refund. The territories of note include Australia, Israel, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, and the UK.
The manufacturer claims that the game was “incorrectly priced”, meaning it’s dropped from £54.99 to £49.99 in the UK specifically. Annoyingly, if you already pre-ordered, then you’ll need to cancel your purchase to claim a full refund, and then re-purchase it at the lower price point. “We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused,” the firm said. There are no changes to the price in other regions.
It’s worth noting that if you are in the UK and want to buy this, you can get a pre-order code from CD Keys for £37.99, which is a much better deal. And obviously, if you own a PlayStation, the original PS4 game is available as one of All PS Plus Games.

Should I be outraged?
I'll be outraged.
Sack Slim Bryan!!!!!!!!
Did I do it right?
On a less 4 hours of sleep and amused at my own words note, I guess the hassle here is cancelling and re-ordering a digital product.
Are any pre-order incentives lost or anything like that?
I know it's a corporation run by living, breathing, feeling humans, so mistakes are always possible, but Sony's been scoring a number of own goals and taking some body blows of late, hasn't it?
Good thing Sony can’t block Steam from refunding preorders. Have they changed their PS preorder policy at all? Recall if you preordered a digital game you would be stuck with it.
Watch them try to claim the original orders + re-orders from cancellation as total unit sales for their metrics!
So the $69.99 price on steam is correct or not?
@Tharsman I had an issue with GoTsushi dlc not working for me, because I had a different region base game, than I was in. I contacted sony, via chat, and they refunded me(no hassle) quickly too. I dont know if that is par for the course or not, happened a few months back.
Can't really get outraged if you actually pre-ordered for that price though, can you?
Still consistent with PS under Jim Ryan though, so let's move on to the next disappointment
@Shepherd_Tallon I think what we should be outraged at is you still can’t buy this on ps5 only get it as part of a bundle, little insulting that pc players can buy separately.
@NEStalgia when have they ever done that?
@NEStalgia Dude you should start to work in politics you are great in making fake claims.
@Flaming_Kaiser @naruball Did I claim they did something? I said watch them try! 🤔
@NEStalgia Lets change this you come with a lot of nonsense and this is one of it. You try to insinuate stuff or otherwise you not post these things. You know what yeah you done with this for a reason or you are just a troll.
@Flaming_Kaiser No, a consummate cynic, but not a troll. I just expect their current leadership to be sleazy and fudge everything in their favor. Not any different than Disney, Comcast, 2K, or pretty much every big company with sleazy executives.
Not trying to charge £70 for a pc game I see lol
Works out at £35 in South African currency for me.
@NEStalgia Yeah but one big difference there is a big evil country behind it that uses things from WW2 i think thats a step back.
