PlayStation Studios bigwig Hermen Hulst visited partner Deviation Games this week for an update on its super-secret PS5 project, and it looks like mocap is already well underway. According to his Instagram page, actor David Paladino – who’s starred in a number of popular US shows, like NCIS and CIS: Vegas – has been in the mocap studio since late April, capturing performances for the developer. As spotted by Zuby_Tech, he tagged the studio into a photo of himself on set.
Deviation Games is comprised of ex-Treyarch top brass, and Paladino has done voice work for various Call of Duty games over the years, so the relationship makes sense. The studio confirmed that its game would go into full production this year, and it even expanded with a Canadian office as it continues to staff up. It’s safe to assume that it’s working on some kind of first-person shooter, although co-founder Jason Blundell has talked a lot about “pushing the medium forward”.
We’re fascinated to see what it comes up with.

If this game turn out good Sony need to buy them especially if Microsoft decide to make call of duty exclusive. hopefully we see this game at PlayStation next showcase.
Hopefully it is a full-length FPS with a strong single player campaign. The last game like from SCEA/SIE was Killzone Shadowfall back in 2013 - a PS4 launch title. Firewall is decent but I think we're long overdue for a proper first-party FPS
@pyrrhic_victory I second that!
@4kgk2 I thought Sony already owns them?
CoD-killer here we come right… right? 🤷♂️
Sounding like it's going to be a COD like live service title.
Nice! Well this will be an amazing FPS now drop Socom for an amazing TPSand MAG for an amazing free for all in 2023 as 2010 it was amazing but way ahead of its time.
@Snake_V5 Nope, just a partner (at the moment).
@Snake_V5 Nope, but they're making their game for the PlayStation Studios brand.
There’s only one team able to build a cod killer.. and Sony just aquired them
Interested to see what they are working on. Think an acquistion is inevitable
@Snake_V5 they funded their started as a partnership. Usually they just want to see that a strong organization foundation and team is in place before committing to the overhead cost and employee headcount
Really can’t wait to see what this team has up there sleeve. Exciting times ahead in Sony world
They're probably preparing for The Last Of Us Part 2 remake, due next year
@Snake_V5 No its a Partnership. Sonyjust bought Haven which was also a Partnership at first
As long as the game is not multiplayer or live service I'll be happy!
Preferably third person, but I am slowly opening up to more first person titles.
