Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is the spiritual succesor to the classic Suikoden series of JRPGs, and it's coming to PS5 and PS4 in 2023. A new trailer was released at Gamescom, giving us a look at the game's gorgeous art style and some brief snippets of gameplay.
The project began life as a Kickstarter project, which was wildly successful, the third most successful after Shenmue III and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, raising some $4.5 million. Continuing the tradition of the Suikoden series, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will feature a massive cast of playable characters that you will be able to swap in and out of your party, 110 apparently, despite the game's title.
What do you think of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes? Did you play the old Suikoden games? Gather in large numbers in the comments section below.

Looks gorgeous, though would have been better if it was more of a soulslike gameplay wise.
I'm happy I played Eiyuden Chronicle Rising earlier this year as I can see some characters from that in this trailer. Anyone interested in this game should check out Rising, it's a fun action RPG with fantastic town building and is a great introduction to the world, plus it's pretty cheap for what you get, I played for 21 hours and got all achievements for it.
Bit of a shame that Sony didn't target this as a game for what ultimately became the PS Plus Extra tier given the PS1's ties to the Suikoden series...guess the XB gamepass wallet was too big.
Still wish the ps1 Suikoden games were part of the ps1 classics on the misfiring PS Deluxe/ premium to buy or a collection collab with Konami like they did with Castlevania Symphony of the Night.
Anyway fingers crossed it lives up to what's definitely promising footage. 🤞
This game looks incredible, can't wait!
@Sequel it wouldn't be a Suikoden spiritual successor if it was...
@Sequel Seriously man not every game needs to be souls like, and that defeats the purpose of this game.
I can't wait for this to come out. Just waiting on a release date now.
@ILikeStake
Yes it really does I agree!
It looks promising and above what i expect of kickstarter games. Let's hope it doesn't let us down. I do miss Suikoden.
Looks mint. Fingers crossed.
@Sequel
please tell me you're just trolling
Can't wait to try this on Gamepass.
Will probably get this on Steam first, we only get this on Switch and PS5 if there's physical edition for em.
