Sony Bend has revealed that just like the original Syphon Filter game, its sequel Syphon Filter 2 has been updated with Trophy support for its release into the PS Plus Premium tier. Available from 20th September 2022, you can unlock one more Platinum gong with Gabe Logan's face on it.
The Trophy list that accompanied the first game's re-release was a relatively simple one, tasking you with beating every mission and using a variety of weapons. We expect the sequel's requirements won't be too difficult either.
Besides Syphon Filter 2, today's PS Plus Premium lineup announcement went very heavy on Sly Cooper, with the PS3 remastered trilogy available for streaming along with Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. Lower tier PS Plus Extra then brings with it Deathloop, Assassin's Creed Origins, Watch Dogs 2, and much more. Check out All PS Plus Games through the link.
Will you try to unlock another Syphon Filter Platinum Trophy next month? Stay sneaky in the comments below.

When are they gonna give us the 60fps versions of PS1 classics they promised. It can’t be that hard to hit upload surely!
Will Siphon filter 2 be exclusive to the service? Or is it also open to purchase in the Playstation store?
@Angelus3K actually I think they promised 60Hz versions, not 60fps...
N.i.c.e. i lđź’›ve syphon filter 2 just like syphon filter 1 is amazing also.word up son
@Colletes Haha you know what I mean
Revisiting the 1st one on ps premium was definitely a case of "rose tinted glasses"
I want PepsiMan
@Colletes im pretty sure USA got the 60hz versions now. Most ps1 and ps2 games were “60fps” to begin with. Well alot do, i know it aint “most” but it surely is alot of the games worth playing
@playstation1995
Playing the game when it first came out, i liked just using the tazer till enemies caught on fire. Also i think if you tazer a light on a lightpole the light goes out. That was one of the realest things to me on console back in 97 or so lol
Sony Bend has moved way up in my book going the extra mile to add trophies to some of these classics.
@Avishayafriat Bend's Twitter confirmed that you can buy the game separately.
Can't wait until Bend brings over the PSP Syphon Filters.
I wonder why they didn't add trophies to Resistance Retribution. Are PSP games not able to get trophy support?
Wake me up when they have gran turismo
@xDD90x I dont think Resistance Retribution has been added to the service yet.
@Yaycandy. Definitely it was fun using tazer until the enemies are caught on fire.amazing games franchises.word up son
I hope the effort of adding trophies to these older games continues. It definitely adds a little something to games we have finished multiple times back in the day.
@Smiffy01 A bit bizarre that you asked for Pepsiman and then @Yaycandy appeared directly afterwards. Haha.
@Ken_Kaniff You're right. I thought it had already been released, but what I was thinking of were the reports that it had been rated in Korea. Thanks for setting the record straight. Hopefully it will have trophy support and will be available to those who already purchased it in the past.
Awesome news, hopefully the platinum is as easy to obtain as the first game was!
@xDD90x No problem, I believe certain games from first party studios will receive trophies. Not all (looking at you Housemarque) but anything from Sony Bend seems to be getting the support.
@SoulChimera
Didnt know people knew what pepsiman was anymore lol. Shows us fat muricans at our best. Pepsi and chips. Angryvideogamenerd did a funny video or 2 with pepsiman on youtube
@Yaycandy I imported the game in 99. I paid way too much for it. But didn’t regret it. Haha.
@Avishayafriat I purchased SF1 and it was there waiting for me in my library, and it's purchasable on the store, so hopefully SF2 will be too
