Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider is a 16-bit action platformer, in the mould of the old Ninja Gaiden games, and it's coming to PS5 and PS4 sometime in Fall 2022 (otherwise known as September through December.)
Featuring gorgeous pixel art, slick combat and cybernetic ninja galore, Vengeful Guardian looks like how you remember games from the 90's looking, except probably better. It's got screen-filling bosses, precise platforming sections, an entire arsenal worth of weapons to master, and perhaps most importantly, our undivided attention.
16-bit ninja enthusiasts are eating well this year, as Chronicles of 2 Heroes: Amaterasu's Wrath is also due out in the next few months. That's not to mention the incredible Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, which came out a little while back and also totally counts.

Looks like a good time. I'll keep my eye out for this one.
this will sit well on my PS4 homescreen along TMNT and Okinawa Rush GoGo retro rangers
Lots of Shinobi vibes with this one!
Looks great, bit of a mashup between Shinobi and Super Probotector (Contra Wars). Will definitely give this a go!
Whilst Joymasher's Blazing Chrome certainly didn't take any prisoners as far as emulating the difficulty as well as the visuals of Contra, will certainly be keeping a watch for this too! 👍
This reminds me I should get back to Cyber Shadow one of these days
Damn right it's still the golden age!! The 16bit generation is and always will be the best.
@Axelay71 your post brought 16-Bit tears to my eyes.
