Announced back in June, The Age of Sorcery has begun in Conan Exiles, with the long-running MMO getting a fresh injection of content in this massive 3.0 update, and we got a new trailer to celebrate.

Magic has finally come to the open-world survival game, and it's kind of hard to believe it wasn't there already. It's an older style of magic though, fittingly brutal. Drag NPCs back to your Settlement, cut out their hearts and offer them to your chosen god. Summon massive Avatars to devastate your enemies, enslave their Thralls and forcibly convert them, ensuring they serve you forever.

I was enjoying this game when it came out and spent a fair chunk of my time building a nice little house so i could shelter only to have a horrible little miscreant destroy it in a matter of minutes..it became apparant to me right there and then that i was never going to enjoy myself online with this title as i could only see it being a cycle of frustration...i hope others had better experiences..

@PegasusActual93 if this had been a straight up adventure game with online co-op set in the conan universe i would really like it but all the survival baggage just destroyed the fun..

That first "battle scene" was an instant throwback to the ps2-era of "high quality" cut-scenes or intros to games... Looked strangely dated to me. I am aware, of course, that graphics aren't everything, and I hope people have fun with this game - It's not my genre of game

I find myself getting back into the game after 2 years. It just as fun as when I put it down. I play co-op with one friend only.
And unlike Ark,I love he can go a huge distance without me.

Still struggling to use the new menus though.. haha

@Northern_munkey You seem to have joined a PvP server. They are clearly defined as Player vs Player in the game browser. The default mode is a 40 player co-op map, where no one will tear down your house.

Also this article is making things up. You can't knock out and sacrifice other players - maybe on one of those erotic roleplaying servers. So much misinformation on this page.
