These games just feel like work and the gameplay doesn't support the manipulative/ addictive design they went for.
I'm fine with addictive FUN games, but these soulless games are such a chore and terribly written, it's a chore.
Haven't touched a game after playing Odyssey for a some hours and uninstalling it.
My passion for gaming is just gone, because of all these mediocre "good enough, let's publish it, they'll buy it anyway" sorta games. Just fking disgusting tbh.
What happened to FUN games? Like seriously, what the hell happened.
But when will the PS5 patch for Syndicate be finished??
@BoldAndBrash have you tried vr?I had the same feeling as you and had more or less quit after nearly 40 years of gaming.I tried vr and there's a lot of fun involved and being a new medium you get a lot of wtf moments. It can be a chore to set up but once your actually gaming even the most basic game gets a shot in the arm and it can make a good game extraordinary! PSVR2 can't come soon enough
Odyssey probably one of my favorite games since The Witcher 3. Have yet to try Valhalla.
They seem to on sale every other week lol
@BoldAndBrash They exist elsewhere. Sherlock Holmes Chapter One was really fun to me. God of War is also fun.
@pyrrhic_victory I'm also following it, really want to play this game on my PS5
@roylaza Seriously, I'm in the middle of replaying all the AC games, and I'm currently on Unity. Ubisoft had better finish the patch soon - it's going on two years now that this has been an issue
@BoldAndBrash Agreed. I feel like, beginning in the 360/PS3 era, there was a focus on blockbusters and sequels, instead of taking chances with new IPs, like they did in the PS2/Xbox era. Games were more fun back then.
@pyrrhic_victory While they work on a proper fix, they should release a quick fix that shrouds the game in perpetual night, the issue only happens at daytime with the shadows flickering
@roylaza They need to do SOMETHING. I'm pretty sure this is the only large scale, AAA PS4 game that doesn't run properly on PS5. Ubisoft should be embarrassed that they've let this problem persist for so long
