Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is the spiritual successor to the cult-classic Jet Set Radio. While it was slated to release in 2022, developer Team Reptile has announced another delay (originally meant to launch in 2021). The funky title is now targeting a Summer 2023 release window.
In Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, the art of graffiti has been elevated to all new heights. You play as a stylish member of a tagging crew called a cypher, and it is your mission in life to dance, paint, trick, and face off with the cops in this colourful and cool vision of the future.
While the delay stings a little, Team Reptile has promised that we will see more from the game in the coming days, which will certainly help. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is shaping up to be one to watch, and so we hope they take as much time as is needed.

That subtitle was funking terrible and frankly you all can funk off you motherfunkers.
I can’t wait for this I freaking love jet set radio.
Visually, the game looks great, but that name is absolutely terrible.
Even Khayl appears to have had his mind blown, as he keeps switching between Bomb Rush Funk and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk.
And now I have Jackie Moon singing “get the funk outta my face, get the funk, outta my face” stuck in my head.
@SoulChimera Pretty sure the team was just looking for a name that had exactly as many syllables as Jet Set Radio while still being able to describe the feel of their game.
@tabris95 Probably should’ve gone with Jump Spray Spinaround then. Haha.
@SoulChimera 😂
hoping this is good
Do you wanna funk?
