Suikoden spiritual successor Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is one of the most hotly anticipated JRPGs currently in development, and not to be outdone by the announcement of the Suikoden I & II HD Remaster, publisher 505 Games released a new trailer showing off some of the talent working on the title.
Beginning life as a Kickstarter project, Eiyuden Chronicles sailed past its modest $500,000 minimum goal, and successfully raised $4.6 million for the project. With character designer Junko Kawano (Suikoden I and IV), director Osamu Komuta (Suikoden Tierkreis, Suikoden Tactics), game design and scenario writer Yoshitaka Murayama (Suikoden I and II) onboard, and music by Motoi Sakuraba (Tales franchise) and Michiko Naruke (Wild Arms), the staffing on this one has us deeply excited.
What do you think of this latest look at Eiyuden Chronicles? Are you excited for the classic JRPG renaissance that 2023 is shaping up to be, with Sea of Stars on the horizon as well? Crunch those numbers down in the comments section below.

Ok, that looks absolutely glorious!
I feel like I’m the only one who doesn’t dig this HD2D art style that Octopath introduced.
Still fairly intrigued by this game it being a Suikoden successor and all.
It's looking really good! Might have to get it at this rate.
My god this game keeps looking better and better. The battles in particular are breathtaking.
Just happy to see not only the spiritual successor hopeful living up to its kickstarter promise but that it forced Konami to dig the original ps1 games out of its gaming attic & we get to enjoy both on modern gens!
Literal tears of joy at how much Suiko-goodness we will be bathing in next year!
This game looks absolutely incredible!
I hope this game is a huge success
