Gran Turismo 7 has been growing on a monthly basis, and the PS5 and PS4 racer will add three new cars as part of its latest update, on Thursday, 29th September. Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi teased the update in a Twitter post, in which he shared a distinctive promo image of three silhouetted vehicles.
The cars appear to be the Volkswagen ID.R, the Porsche Vision Gran Turismo Spyder, and the Nissan Silvia – although enthusiast sites like GT Planet are uncertain of the exact model on display when it comes to the latter. All will be officially revealed in the coming days, no doubt!
We’ll also need to await further information on whether there’ll be any additional tracks, GT Café menus, Scapes, and so on – typically Polyphony Digital will release a trailer prior to a big update, so we shouldn’t have to wait too long to learn about its finer details. In the meantime, let us know if you’re still playing GT7 in the comments section below.

I'm still waiting for the ability to sell cars. I don't know what's taking them so long.
Manufacturers Cup Round 2 has just gone live on Gran Turismo TV on YouTube in the last few minutes too.
Loving the support this game has been getting.
Cars. Cool. But I do kind of wonder who this is aimed at. It’s not going to bring me back after I’ve finished the game. Doubt it would anyone. It’s nice that they are here for people who have yet to buy, but I doubt it will push someone over the edge to buy.
So I guess people who are playing currently. But as events are so restricted in terms of the cars that are eligible it’s doubtful many of them will be driven much.
Not meaning to be critical. But new courses and events are what would bring players back and have everyone play longer. Combining new events with the new cars maybe.
i wish they would add more championships, endurance races, basically more like career in 4 etc.
@rbmango would be nice, but from their view no selling means you spend longer in game
Slightly concerning that we've not heard any mention of a VR version
I'm patiently waiting for this to come to PS plus extra.
Finished the game months ago. The support is good, but I won't be replaying it for some time.
@RBMango PD wants you to "collect" the cars before you can sell them so I'd guess selling won't come for a while yet. Just another game that forces their preferred playstyle on the gamer.
Would be good if they added a single player element other than the licences and the 'cafe nonsense.
Makes you wonder what they were doing for 6 years after GT sport was released if this is essentially the same with nothing more than an extended tutorial tagged on.
My only gripe so far is the insane amounts of pop-up and some performance drops in AI races..come on PD you can do better with a ps5..other than that i love the game and it's dominating my playtime.
I unfortantely can't forward my port in my router (it's a terrible modem and the option isn't open) so my intertent logs in and out a thousend times when I'm on my PS5.
Because GT7 forces you to be online allways I stopped playing as it bothers me too much. A shame as the game is fun.
@qualitygeezer have a feeling you will be waiting a rather long time for that
Still waiting for the Sophy AI they talked about last year.
@Tielo It's a bummer but when you have a ps5 it's a shame to ruin the experience with a cheap router. I got myself a tp-link wifi 6 router and everything is just better.
@stvevan you are probably right
@zebric21 True, especialy as I have glassfiber internet with rediculas speed but I lack the technical knowhow to change a router unfortunately.
Cool that the “support” is supposedly good, but another way to put it is that the base game was very limited. I was shocked by how soon you’re through the single player content. After the menu books there are a few races left and then suddenly that’s that.
It’s funny to see people complaining about free updates for a game here man this site has become so toxic 😂.

What you call spectacular support I call withholding content on release so you can add it in updates later lol

After GT1, my second Gran Turismo is GT Sport. At this speed it looks I'll buy GT 11...
Since people here have been so negative, I'll speak out on the real issue with GT7: it has killed my enjoyment of other games.
@Art_Vandelay I hear you. I lost most of spring to playing GT7, and it remains one of my favorite games of the year. The only downside for me has been reading the endless streams of bile that seep into every GT7 post from the perpetually negative who see even a free update a source of indignation.
Spectacular support? I haven't played for 3 months, did they ever fix/improve the penalty system in Sport mode?
@Amnesiac it's a live service game of course it's going to have a free update they can't charge when the game needs to be online to play it
A VR version of this game...
I think it will be the kind of experience that converts even the most ardent VR hater to join the ranks of the VR-loving enemy.
GT7 just reminds me of one word. Sterile
@thefourfoldroot1 and the sooner they manage to get Sophy AI the better, racing against the current AI is horrible, no realism at all.
I stopped playing months ago & am still waiting for them to fix the FFB.
While the driving is fun to play, it feels like a F2P game with a $70 price tag.
I can’t imagine much of the player base having an appetite for Vision cars & there’s still a huge gap of cars missing from post GT Sport years.
They need more tracks, non vision cars, more races for normal cars & make the economy fairer to everyone who paid full price for this game.
Can’t believe the ability to sell cars is still not in this game with the price of the legend cars as they are.
With the Hagerty’s ‘real life’ pricing valuation, the ‘97 911 GT1 car has almost tripled in price to $9Mil. This game has really become the Real Poverty Simulator.
It’s a shame these review sites aren’t holding PD accountable for this *****.
Slowly feeding us little dopamine hits. Nice go at it Kaz
I'm waiting for a 50% off sale. 29% ain't gonna cut it Sony!
@Kairu
I would, except I’ve gotten rid of it as I felt like I finished everything. That was the problem. Finished everything. Even got the plat which was a bit tedious. The events weren’t fun to repeat unfortunately. Thanks for the offer.
Gave up on this win it started forcing you to the microtransactions, as winnings aren't that great. Here's hoping Forza Motorsport reboot, or whatever it's called, doesn't do the same. We need a good sim racer this gen.
