Oh well, at least they let us know beforehand! Atlus has confirmed that it has no plans to announce any new Persona games at this year's Super Persona Live P-Sound Wish concert, which is scheduled for next month, on the 8th and 9th October.
Previous concerts have featured things like teaser trailers, or special reveals, but that won't be the case this year. The fact that Atlus has noted this lack of game-related announcements on its official website suggests that it wants to set people's expectations, which is fairly refreshing as far as we're concerned.
Anyway, it's not like we're being starved of Persona these days. The PS5 version of Persona 5 Royal launches on the 21st October, and PS4 ports of Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable are releasing in 2023. Obviously people will always be on the lookout for anything that might point towards the inevitable Persona 6, but again, you ain't getting it at this concert.
Were you hoping for anything from this upcoming Persona event? Don't skip class in the comments section below.

The only Persona announcement you can consistently rely on is the announcement that there won't be any announcements.
I suppose they are busy with the ports of 3, 4 and 5. Maybe next year 6 will be teased.
Loved Persona 3FES and 4 The Golden but 5 feels way too long. 50 hours in and barely recruited Futaba. Less than half way through thr game. Too much.
I doubt they'll announce anything else until they're done porting 3/4/5 to various platforms.
Well at least we are getting the ports finally. But wow persona 6 came out in 2016 in Japan and still not even an official announcement on 6?
Noooooooooooo. It's been too long Persona. Oh well.
just like that I don't care anymore, already played 3 and 4 and have 5 already
Always a good move to say this kind of thing beforehand.
The behavior of Atlus is like a riddle on top of a mystery wrapped in an enigma.
P5R is the best game I ever played. It could be 200 hours long and it wouldn't be enough. Thankfully with the new launches +DLC and new game + the replay value is great. I am 35 hours into my 2nd playthrough and no doubt will do a 3rd on the Switch.
@Royalblues Royal is signficantly different to vanilla, about 25 hour of extra content plus a wide array of gameplay improvements, But if you don't love it 125+ hours is very long. I felt that way with AC Valhalla. I would have been happy with 50 hours on that game.
@AstraeaV I think Persona 5 and Royal is an evolution compared to previous games, map design, story, fight mechanics all are evolved.
Persona 3 and 4 will be skipped by me who knows maybe the will print them physically instead of making 3 version of Persona 5 CE what a joke has this company become.
@Ralizah @Korgon All I'm waiting for myself is Persona 1 & 2 remakes to be announced...then I'll finally jump headfirst into the franchise.
