Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth was originally a PS1 (and later PSP) title that's being ported to PS5 and PS4. It's also included as part of Valkyrie Elysium's Deluxe Edition, and was set to release on the same day. Unfortunately, with the action RPG just a week or so away from launch, the Lenneth port has been hit with a delay. This suggests that something's gone wrong at the last minute, but at least it should mean that players aren't getting a potentially broken version of the game.
To "improve the quality" of Lenneth, Square Enix is pushing its release date back to the 22nd December, 2022. The publisher clarifies that those who have pre-ordered Elysium's Deluxe Edition from the PlayStation Store will still be entitled to Lenneth when it drops on its new December date.
A bit of a shame, but again, we're sure this is preferable if the Lenneth port has run into trouble. Have you snagged the Deluxe Edition? Were you looking forward to playing Lenneth alongside Elysium? Seek fallen warriors in the comments section below.

I forget this was coming out, I've ordered Elysium on disc, however if it's a decent port, willing to try it out
Its better to be honest and delay it, then to release it a mess and then fix it as time goes on. Seem like the right call if they aren't confident enough in how it is now.
That's a shame. I've ordered the Deluxe version myself.
These things happen though. And the new release date is so close to Christmas.
Christmas Eve is a Saturday this year too, so I guess that's what I'll be playing in between The Goonies, Blazing Saddles and Miracle on 34th Street.
I reckon they should take advantage of this delay and port it to every system possible and maybe the sequel as well.
I'm completely unfamiliar with this series but I'm currently on such a square Enix high, that I'll devour most anything they throw my way. Same goes for the front Mission remakes.
@Shepherd_Tallon What about It's a Wonderful Life?! And Elf!? 😊
@nicc83 Elf! Of course. There's no excuse for forgetting that one.
And you know, I've never watched It's a Wonderful Life. Nobody ever believes me when I tell them.
The only reason is because I didn't want there to be no classics left to watch, but as I type that it seems like a terribly foolish reason. This year I think I'll have do it 🎅
With Square’s release schedule, I’m surprised how well they’ve kept their release dates, honestly.
I have the regular edition anyway. Really looking forward to it after the demo.
@Shepherd_Tallon I was in the same boat. And watched it for the first time last year. Its well worth it.
@nicc83 @Shepherd_Tallon I will probably be tied up to a Christmas tree and burnt alive on it but I hate Its A Wonderful Life which is ironic because I love James Stewart.
I was hoping it'd be the PS1 or PSP version so it also comes to Premium, but sounds like it isn't.
@GorosBat Fix the Playstation version first and then start on another platform please.
Since I am incapable of playing two games simultaneously I have no problem with this delay.
That's good, that way ppl who are getting this get a quality release.
Cant wait for the main game.
Sad about the delay, but glad they are giving the team more time to work out bugs/glitches etc.
@Ryall Same here, once I switch to another game I move on from everything else and blindly only play that game until I've beaten it.
It's both a curse and a blessing lol.
