Skull and Bones finally leaves port on 8th November after a protracted, painful development. The multiplayer pirate title is looking pretty okay in this latest gameplay trailer, which puts the focus on nautical combat between you and other players.
You'll be able to customise your character, but more importantly, your ship is fully customisable — you can change its appearance to a fairly granular level, and swap out the weapons, sails, and everything you'd expect. Here's hoping it'll be ship-shape when it launches in a couple of months.

i want to like this game, but it just feels that $$ is going to ruin experience for many
this game will surely be dead on arrival.
Ah yes..."gameplay". What a bullshot trailer.
hope this game tanks so hard, 70£ and online only, yikes
I would like a sid meyers Pirates modern game. The old one was fantastic. I think I first played it on a 386. Amazing for its time
I'll play it someday but not on day 1. Been looking a pirate game to play on PS that is similar to Sea of Theives. SoT is a great game but none of my friends have it and it's not fun to play solo. This game is like the next best thing. But feels like it's being sent out to fail after development trouble. And now the push to release it over that government agreement with Singapore.
Doesn't help much that the game is releasing on the same day as Sonic or that it's one day before God of War.
I want the game to do well enough to see a sequel or at least be given a second chance and maybe then the developers will have a much better and clear idea how the game can be made better. This is the closest pirate game we have for PS and we may not see another. Xbox and PC already have a great pirate game sorted.
You still can't explore/fight on land really, so a hard pass for me.
