If you were looking forward to playing The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero on PS4, you may want to keep your expectations in check, as it looks like PlayStation players will be saddled with a graphically inferior version of the game compared to the one releasing on PC and Nintendo Switch.
There are a few reasons as to the why, as James Galizio over at RPG Site relays, but in a nutshell, it comes down to a difference in ports. Nihon Falcom developed Trails from Zero, and it was originally released in Japan for PSP in 2010. A remaster for PS4 and Vita known as Trails from Zero Kai was released in 2020, again only in Japan. Neither ever got an official English translation. Kai features improved visuals and more voice acting, amongst other things.
In 2020, an English fan translation was released by a group of talented fans known as Geofront, and using this work as a base, and the features added in Kai, publisher NIS America is releasing the version of Trails from Zero that is coming to PS4 later this month.
The issue is that the PC and Switch versions of the game were handled by PC modding icon Durante AKA Peter Thoman, and his studio PH3. Both will receive quality of life and graphical enhancements above and beyond what was present in Kai, and so will not be present in the PS4 version of the game. If you want some further misery, Durante outlined in full all of the added features coming to PC and Switch over on Steam.
You can see some comparison screenshots for yourself, PS4 is above, and Switch/PC below.
This in and of itself isn't necessarily the end of the world (although that may depend on your level of Trails fandom), but it does put PlayStation players in a sticky situation. We know, thanks to the Japanese version of the upcoming Trails into Reverie, that players are rewarded for having save data from both Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure on their system. Is it worth playing a graphically inferior version of the game, simply for recognition of having done so on the same platform?
What do you think of this whole situation? Will you be picking up Trails from Zero on PS4 regardless? Commiserate with us in the comments section below.

"Is it worth playing a graphically inferior version of the game, simply for recognition of having done so on the same platform?"
Yes of course. Since when does graphics trump good gameplay?
Personally, I'm not so fussed here. It's not the best but I wouldn't call it a dealbreaker necessarily, given how this was originally a PSP game
Good to know, just canceled my pre-order. Im not supporting NISA being lazy again with their Ports lol. Especially if we also get actual Gameplay improvements on PC and Switch
Yeah, I definitely still want the rewards for the same-console data. Still very disappointing to hear though.
So let me get this straight. You're saying because some impatient fans couldn't wait for an official English PS4 release, NISA is more-or-less just applying that translation patch and calling it a day. Meanwhile on other platforms where that translation patch can't be applied, they're actually porting and enhancing the game. So if they hadn't released a fansub, the PS4 version would've gone through the same localization enhancements? I guess that'll show those fans to like something so much?
NIS America are a baffling bunch at times.
The difference is tiny. These games are not famous for their graphics.
@naruball Switch and PC also have qol improvements for Gameplay.
"Both will receive quality of life and graphical enhancements above and beyond what was present in Kai, and so will not be present in the PS4 version of the game"
@IonMagi most the improvements seem to be the standard stuff for pc, that I'd imagine most console players aren't to concerned about.
@Balosi Sure, but why pay the same price to get graphical and Gameplay wise inferior products? Reverie and Azure also release on PC and Switch and will probably be superior to the PS4 Version again since they are ports too
Don’t care to be honest, this isn’t a game one plays for the graphics. Anyway, many, many JRPGs are superior on Switch and PC compared to PlayStation simply because they have full content and no censorship. At least this isn’t that bad, that’s actually something that stops me buying the PlayStation version, this is just graphics.
It’s not like content or gameplay is any different, which is the main thing.
I prefer the graininess of the PS4 version and I think graphical upgrades from the pc/switch version look worse.
@riceNpea your answer doesn’t match the question. Yes graphics don’t trump gameplay but the gameplay is the same if not better with QOL on the better graphics version.
@Angelus3K @Angelus3K then why frame the question around inferior graphics if the real issue is the QOL improvements? In that case the question should've been, 'Is it worth playing a version of the game with fewer QOL improvements, simply for recognition of having done so on the same platform?'
Wow. I love Trails but this is some BS honestly. Now I'm not sure where I want to play it. I mean sure it's not like it's a huge downgrade but it makes legitimately no sense that the PS4 version looks worse than the Switch version. I could pick it up on either Switch or PC but as stated I want the save data bonus for Azure and Reverie. I also wanted to earn trophies.
I'm going to have to think on it a bit but yeah this is pretty annoying.
First game for nintendo that actually looks better than the PlayStation version, since the gamecube 😂
Seriously though I will still get the PlayStation version as that's where I've bought the trails of cold steel 1,2 and 3 games, so I want my collection to stay in one place plus trophies!
The best place to play Trails games is honestly Steam Deck anyway
@riceNpea The question WAS referencing the inferior graphics but not compared to gameplay. The question was “Is it worth playing a graphically inferior version of tbe game just so the save data is recognised by future games and rewarded” this has nothing to do with gameplay between the Switch and PS4 version.
@Angelus3K the way you put it makes more sense to me. Thanks 👍
Let's play on the Switch then looking forward to play this one.
I’ve had a look at a Screenshots and I prefer the PSP style on the PS4 to the switch style. Aesthetics are subjective and technically better is not what I like in this case. Probably because I played other games in the series and the older style lines up with what I’m used to.
@IonMagi It is business Nintendo Switch system is topseller, PS4 is dying slowly. If I am a developer I would not waste time and money on systems that are dying.
Nintendo Switch holds the crown for the preferred system, it is all about business. So good choice NISA/FALCOM.
@Lebest Very incorrect way of analyzing the situation: the fanbase and games for the Trails series is Playstation-centered at the moment, so the PS4 version should have had real work put in. Especially when you consider it would also be available on PS5. That's not even counting that making a terrible port when you obviously could have done better gets you really bad publicity (like Kingdom Hearts on Switch).
All in all, terrible choice from NISA/FALCOM. All this does is show laziness on their part.
That is your emotional reaction. I see it from a business perspective. Emotions and business do not mix.
@Lebest
I mean if we are talking strictly business there are over 110 million PS4s out there and just over 20 million PS5s out there. I don't think it makes great business sense to skimp on the PS4 version just like it wouldn't make business sense to skimp on Switch or PC.
@Cloud7794 is 100% correct that it's a bad look. Emotions have nothing to do with it.
@Lebest If you know business you know that emotions are probably one of your best tools in business. But yes when there are 137+ million PS4s + PS5s vs 110+ million switches, the install base alone is greater on PS. Then factor in that the primary fanbase is on PS, which means a greater likelihood for franchise-loyal purchases, it would just make the most business sense to have put some better effort in the PS port than they are currently doing.
I kind of regretted doing TCS 3 on Switch, but now, it looks like the series will have to remain split between platforms anyway, so it wasn't just a bad call.
I read about the changes to form my own opinion and really the only thing that stands out is the message log.
But even that only tells me what is in the Switch and PC Version and not if those things are in the PS4/5 Version as well.
At the end of the day it doesnt matter to me. I'll always prefer the PS Version. It's where my trophies are. Also I love to see all those games side by side and it feels better with the DualSense in my hands. There's also the cloud saves which I didnt opt in on Switch. Like everything it comes down to personal preference..
edit: had to delete a stupid looking Smiley face -.-'
One of the laziest port jobs I've ever heard of. If this were a major publisher or series they would be dragged through the mud.
That's pretty awful of nisa which is why it sucks the series had to be picked up by them
I haven't read what QoL improvements it has, but based on those 2 screenshots. I actually kinda prefer all the jaggies lol, I really want to play this to get that old ps1 jrpg feeling
@Korgon both of you have no clues how to do business, thank God you are not into videogames business, otherwise you would have bankrupt the videogame business a long time ago. Let me explain to you what business means. Business is mainly driven on fashion, and with fashion I mean what is in. The PS4 is already past tense, Nintendo Switch is running the videogaming market right now. You should not use the total volume of PS4 out there but use selling statistics for a period of 1 year, so interpolation of the sales. Many of the PS4 system since it came out may be already in the attic or not even played anymore. Business should be driven on the latest statistics and Nintendo Switch dominates the market as of now. No emotions simply BUSINESS.
i was already getting this on the switch, but now I'm even more glad I choose that platform.
@Lebest Its really smart to make a game less quality so people look at your games and think wow this was crappy better not waste my money on the next release.
If the platform is the issue why not release it on PS5 plus the people that play these games are not the gamers that will drop their consoles especially when their favorite game is on there.
@Lebest You're talking nonsense. PS4/5 sold way more software in the last 12 months than Nintendo and Sony consoles have always sold vastly more software to a much broader install base.
Here's the software sales broken down by platform. The switch is still short of being a true big gun, never mind "dominating".
(figures in millions)
1. PlayStation 2 (PS2) 1,537.00
2 PlayStation 4 (PS4)1,419.50*
3 Xbox 360 (X360) 1,008.03
4 PlayStation 3 (PS3)999.40
5 PlayStation (PS)962.00
6 Nintendo DS (DS)948.76
7 Nintendo Wii (Wii)921.85
8 Nintendo Switch (NS)863.59
9 Game Boy (GB)501.11
10 Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)500.01
11 Nintendo 3DS (3DS)389.05
12 Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)379.06
13 Game Boy Advance (GBA)377.42
*Up to Q32020. PS4 is actually over 1.5B units now but Sony no longer give out PS4 software sales individually, only PS4/5 combined. Since the PS5 release quarter Sony have sold around 510m units of software(7quarters up to June 30)
Note: This list is missing Xbox one as MS no longer give detailed breakdowns of their games division
@Lebest
Note: a PS4 games is actually a PS4/PS5 game in one box.
You have the following options:
1. DO NOT buy.
2. Buy it for NS.
You are complaining by naming something "crappy" I saw the images, they are indeed inferior but certainly not crappy. Again, you are flaming your emotions and that is NO business. If you want the better quality, buy it for PC or NS. AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
@ChrisDeku do you need an abacus? I told you 1 YEAR INTERPOLATION. So do a sales comparison NS vs PS4 period SEPT 2021 - SEPT 2022. Don't come with statics from 2020.
@Lebest
Wow. That's impressive how Playstation is a leader of digital distribution sales and has been profitable almost every year for the past decade and yet almost every single PS4 is up in an attic somewhere. How does that work?
By your logic if something isn't selling as much as it did in its prime there is no reason to put a game on it correct? That literally makes no sense. If a console is popular and has a lot consoles out in the wild and your a third party publisher why would you not put your game on it if your game can run on said console?
Heck Ubisoft up until just a couple years ago was still putting Just Dance...on the wii! Your telling me the Wii was selling like hotcakes throughout 2020!? 🙂😁🤣
Ok I did all of you a favor, here it goes:
Gap changes over the last 12 months 4,709,433 Switch (lead) vs PS4. SO DON'T TRY TO PLAY WISE GUYS. Hope you know what gap changes is.
@Lebest in the most recent financial year ending match 31st 2022:
Nintendo: 235.07m
PlayStation: 303.2m
Last Quater(ending June 30th)
Nintendo: 41.41m
Sony: 47.1m
Also take into account that switch software sales have peaked and are falling, Nintendo predict a decline of 10.07% in the current financial year. PS sales will only increase when PS5 supply improves.
@ChrisDeku hahaha certainly you do not know what you are doing. Go to http://www.vgchartz.com/article/454645/switch-vs-ps4-sales-comparison
@Lebest these numbers are from nintendo financial releases and from Sony financial release.
They are official financial documents and are 100% truthful, as misrepresenting financial statements is a serious crime.
Those are the oficial software sales.
@Lebest

Sony:

NISA nor FALCOM are Square Enix, they do not have the manpower nor the capital to please you all. If I would be emotional too: "PS has many Trails games that are not on Switch yet, so we need to live with it".
@ChrisDeku To be fair, those sales don't tell too much of a meaningful story since they are heavily skewed by the ongoing MTX/digital currency sales for the "power" platforms (Shark Cards, FUT, etc.) that are less prevalent on Nintendo platforms, so the raw dollar totals are probably less significant than unit sales, and unit sales of particular genres than it may look. (OTOH, Nintendo unit sales are probably skewed heavily in favor of cheap eShop indie games, which also isn't a fair comparison.)
The data NISA is likely using is less likely to be total platform gross, just sales, or sales trends, and maybe especially sales in Japan, of TOCS 3 and 4, and Ys 9 on PS vs Switch and PC. It comes off strange since it's a PS series historically and Falcom has been an all-PS studio for so long, but, to be fair, Falcom has mainly been a PSP/Vita studio, so a focus on handhelds was really their core to begin with.
@NEStalgia those are actually unit sales, just expressed in a weird way with decimal places(it's copied from a site that collates the data)
So the PS2 is 1.5 billion unit sales etc.
@ChrisDeku Ah, gotcha, I thought that was dollar gross. I'm surprised Switch is so relatively low in unit sales, not so much compared to PS2 (Nintendo is for Nintendo primarily after all, and their own evergreens), but compared to other Nintendo systems. Especially with the indie culture that's formed on it.
@NEStalgia switch software sales were pretty bad pre-pandemic
@Lebest
I'm pretty sure most folks here know Falcom and NISA isn't as big a publisher as a Square-Enix. That's not related to the issue here. All folks are asking for is parity with the Switch version. It's not like we are asking for the world here. We all just want the series to succeed across all platforms.
As for the Trails games only on PS compared to Switch that's out of NISA's hands since those are published by Xseed. That's just, as you like to say, business.
Don't you feel selfishness streaming within your blood? I just mentioned it awhile ago. THERE ARE MANY TRAILS GAMES ON PS THAT ARE NOT ON SWITCH YET. SOME ARE PLANNED FOR DECEMBER 2023. So all Switchplayers will need to wait more than a year to get what you already got. So there is no need to keep complaining.
@Korgon So are you still trying to polarize parity between consoles now???
Okay this is new lol, oh well I buy it on switch then since it's the better version, and its portability is a plus
@ChrisDeku In all recent posts I saw, Nintendo Switch is LEADING THE SALES WORLDWIDE. So are you telling me that my information is false and yours is the only one correct? And that all other recent posts are lying??
@Lebest
Umm...no? I just said I want Trails to succeed on all the platforms it's on. It's a shame not all of the series is on Switch and I hope that changes one day. Play it on whatever you want. I couldn't care less. 😂
@Lebest Sales of what? Hardware sales? Yes, switch currently sells more hardware.
Software? Switch has always been behind.
Handhelds have always had high hardware sales and low software sales relative to home consoles.
I.e lots of people buy a switch but they don’t buy many games. Mostly just the same games selling every week.
Yes HARDWARE, we are talking about the LEADING console. You are wrong I have spend ~ $ 1,000 this year already. Many people buy Switch games, like the groundbreaker Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I have already pre-ordered Trails from Zero and Diofield Chronicles. You are very wrong thinking that Switchgames don't sell very well.
@Korgon same here.
@Lebest I literally showed you the sales figures where Playstation sells more software than Nintendo every year, every generation.
@Lebest I'll just leave some facts here of Japanese launch sales numbers for the Trails games, which are the easiest to find and when they would have sold the most:
Trails of Cold Steel 3: PS4 - 83,680 /// NSW - 6280
Trails of Cold Steel 4: PS4 - 85,161 /// NSW - 6074
Trails into Reverie: PS4 - 83,680 /// NSW - 6227
Keep in mind these are Japanese sales number - the Switch is INSANELY popular over there. People just aren't following the series on Switch.
Besides, we're not even saying the work should have been put into the PS4 game INSTEAD of the Switch, but that there's no reason NISA should have put so little work into the PS4 version.
anyone else think it's odd that a publisher is unable to do the localization themselves and have to resort to fan translations in the first place? this is pretty much unheard of for an official retail product.
@Cloud7794 Switch has now outsold PS4 in the US
By Dustin Bailey published May 13, 2022
Despite launching nearly four years later, Switch has outdone PS4.
You can also check this one.
@Lebest You didn't respond to my point: you may try again if you wish.
The Switch does not sell the Trails games like PS4 does. That's just fact. You pretend that the Switch outselling PS4 over a year means it will magically move more Trails games. That is a false assumption.
@ChrisDeku ARE YOU SURE? HERE FYI:
Software sales (followed by lifetime sales):
[NSW] Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – 112,728 (New)
[NSW] Digimon Survive – 28,536 (New)
[NSW] Nintendo Switch Sports – 24,966 (623,493)
[NSW] Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Set – 17,209 (217,472)
[NSW] LIVE A LIVE – 14,098 (85,235)
[PS5] Gran Turismo 7 – 12,453 (139,888)
[NSW] Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 11,542 (4,745,609)
[NSW] Kirby and the Forgotten Land – 11,201 (823,909)
[NSW] Tengoku Struggle: Strayside – 10,912 (New)
[NSW] Minecraft – 9,873 (2,727,866)
Hardware sales (last week’s sales):
Nintendo Switch – 73,238 (69,374)
PS5 – 39,336 (11,194)
Xbox Series X/S – 8,988 (5,012)
I see NS all of over the place, where is your PS?????
And to put things straight for once. You shouldn't act like cry babies. You are complaining and crying like it's the end of the world because you are getting slightly inferior graphics in comparison with NSW. BUT YOU ARE STILL GETTING IT! On the other hand, the Cold Steel series we only got CS III and CS IV. YOU GOT ALL 4 ON PS. SO WHO SHOULD BE COMPLAINING WHILE HAVING ALL THE RIGHTS TO COMPLAIN? NSW OWNERS!!!! So cut the crap and be happy that you are getting something.
As the owner of both a Nintendo Switch and a PS5, I am very accustomed to wide disparities in visual fidelity... and yet, I still typically choose the Switch version, when available, for portability and convenience.
Of course, I prefer PS5 when performance is a must, like FPS and racing.
Next time anyone here calls me a Nintendo fanboy I'm referring them to this thread 😂
@ChrisDeku That's so strange. Not necessarily compared to ps, but even to Nintendo's own prior consoles. Switch seems to be a juggernaut but yet those sales just don't reflect that. Is that digital and physical combined? Vs ps there could be discrepancies about dlc inclusion and if freebies count as sales, but not vs other Nintendo consoles. I do think the "switch tax" reduces software sales, and of course in Japan, Japanese Nintendo gamers mostly only buy Nintendo games.
Ps will see a drop this gen I think owing both to the higher Nintendo like pricing, the introduction of plus and gp, and just a better balance with more competition... And, like Nintendo, a focus on live service games that are designed to devour play time. But those Nintendo software sales seem surprising still.
So much fanboying in this comment section.
The first thing to mention is that the PS4 version being the way it is is a result of laziness and nothing else. A PS4 version already existed, so it was easier to localize that than to do additional work on it. The Switch version is, afaik, a new port.
Anyway, total software sales on the platforms aren't really relevant here. If you want the real reason NIS is going so hard on Switch in general, you need to look at NIS game sales on PS4/5 vs Switch specifically.
This (admittedly old) article supports that idea.
https://hardcoregamer.com/news/nis-america-switch-sales-double-that-of-ps4/295958/
Yamashita has revealed that on average, games have sold more than double on Switch than they have PS4. “If we simultaneously release a Switch version and a PS4 version of the same title, currently the sales trend is two to one…physically and digitally.”
People are buying more games on PS4/5, but not more NIS games. And, really, not more indies, either. People are primarily purchasing AAA games on Playstation, and smaller/lower-budget games on Switch.
Also, in response to the article:
"Is it worth playing a graphically inferior version of the game, simply for recognition of having done so on the same platform?"
Playstation owners were purchasing and enjoying 'inferior' versions of AAA games all last gen on PS4 without issue. Why start caring when it comes to subtle visual differences in upscaled ports of ancient PSP titles?
Play your games on the platform you're most comfortable with and stop caring so much about performance/visual differences. You'll be much happier that way.
@NEStalgia I don't see why it should be surprising that Playstation is selling more games. Pretty much every major, best-selling AAA third party release is on PS4, but not on Switch. That's going to make an enormous difference in total software sales, even without DLC/micro-transactions.
Really, the far more damning omission in that list is all but one of Microsoft's consoles, which also have access to almost everything AAA-wise.
@Ralizah I don't necessarily mean it's surprising less games sell on Switch than PS (where every owner has at least 12 copies of GTAV and growing), but even vs other Nintendo consoles. My impression was that Switch was outperforming Nintendo's past consoles (except DS), but it's somehow below other Nintendo consoles.
As for MS, well, they only had 3 consoles (before current gen which obviously can't be tallied for years still), the first console was released for only half a gen while GCN and PS2 had already been out for a while (and PS2 was the juggernaut.) It did perform pretty well in markets it was in, but only participated in a handful of markets and for only half the length of time of the other consoles (It came out late in the gen, and they launched 360 gen early) so it has no chance of hitting a total global sales list like this, but where it existed, it did perform admirably enough to make the 360 launch huge.
The 360 is their good period and that one does well on the list. And the X1 was a a near-total failure due to the bungled launch that only found its groove in it's last 2-3 years. "Damning", but with a partial gen, a good gen, and a bad gen, it doesn't really lead to many conclusions.
For the current gen, I still expect XB to be last in raw software sales due to GP being such a heavy focus, though that doesn't necessarily say much about revenues or "player hours" or whatever metrics mean more than unit sales these days. PS will be affected by Plus and their GaaS focused games in that way too, so I think all the numbers (except Nintendo) will drop to an extent next time around (But MS's will go up because...really...they can't get worse than last gen lol )
@NEStalgia As of right now, that list is primarily comparing mid-late cycle Switch against a bunch of platforms that have long since completed their cycles on the market, so the comparison isn't terribly meaningful. Anyway, it's only below the lifetime software unit sales for NDS and Wii, and I expect it'll easily make up the difference before EOL. Perhaps far more depending on whether Nintendo maintains it as a budget option once the next console releases.
Considering the casual audience that drove Wii/NDS sales have moved on to tablets and phones, I'd say the Switch is doing quite well. Which is probably why so many actually good games are selling well on Nintendo now.
@Ralizah Good point on PS4 cycle being years finished while Switch is still ongoing. That so many people think of PS4 games as PS5 games probably highlights how much the PS5 is a PS4 Pro Plus.
If I may add to all your comments. The legend of Heroes (LoH) series is not for everyone. Nintendo has always target younger players, while Sony, older players (young adults and adults), with that in mind, LoH series is not suitable for kids, not because they can't play them, but because the way LoH games are structured. You need to be VERY patient as the developers tease you little by little on the story and the game in general, most kids do not have this patience and put it down. If you have the patience you will discover how amazing the LoH series are. Also, these games (LoH) are really really long, I am currently playing CS III and clocking 60+ hrs and still a long long way to go. I am playing like 5 games at the same time, so it takes me a long time to finish them all (incl. Xenoblade Chronicles 3). All of them are RPGs, that is my most beloved genre. The NSW is now focussing on the young adults and adults in general, that's also the reason why Sony is way ahead on the LoH series versus Nintendo (market focus). And these comments are coming from a guy that played FF I on the NES when first released. So I have been playing RPGs for a very long long time on multiple systems. You all have a great day!
You all seem to really get heated about PS4 vs NS. Where do - I - fit in all this^^
What does it all matter? This game will be freakin' awesome either way! But what I REALLY can't wait for is Trails into Reverie. I think this will be the pinnacle of the franchise.
@riceNpea
I care, graphics help with games in all aspects, it helps to have gameplay, sound, graphics, if you just have gameplay and sound it won't be the same as the best of the best. I personally cancelled Sony Playstation 4 version and getting switch instead. I'm not into mediocre and if your a true gamer you would get the superior copy on pc or switch.
@McBurn
Take 20$ off the playstation version because its inferior to the Switch then I won't have a problem. I cancelled my Ps4 order of all 3 games and got them on switch instead lol that will show playstation
Since I don't want the inferior version of the game, either get on pc or switch, since I'm a true gamer I want the cream of the crop the best of the best so I'll get it on Switch or PC. Why pay the same price for an inferior version of the game? Think... Look at what the changes are- The most significant inclusions that Switch and PC players will benefit from comprise UI scaling, a custom text log, increased frame rate, mitigated distance pop-in, updated sprites, and cleaned-up textures.
To me that's a big overhaul difference for the same price, you be pretty thick to buy the Playstation one over the Switch or PC versions while hacking out the same amount of money for inferior product hahaha
@Herolegend: Sure, do what feels right for you. I know I'll play it on PS5^^
For a lot of people it's really a moot point if they don't own both systems. At least if PC is not an option for them...but what do I care how other random people play their games -.-'
edit: corrected misspelling error
@McBurn
Yeah and what feels right is playing the games with more features and better overall. I've stopped supporting Sony since their censorship rule started anyways, so not going to bother with downgraded version of the game at premium price. good luck
@Mauzuri
oh I never liked trophies those are some good waste of time, made so you can brag about it online to your friends, oh guess what, games that were the best never had trophies and are still the best. PS1 and PS2 never had trophies yet their games are better than ps3 and ps4 and ps5 lol its hilarious.
You have to be blind to not be able to tell the difference in textures, and its not just graphical textures thats changed- the full list is= The most significant inclusions that Switch and PC players will benefit from comprise UI scaling, a custom text log, increased frame rate, mitigated distance pop-in, updated sprites, and cleaned-up textures.
Those differences aren't small! Anyone who thinks otherwise is just a Sony fan boy lol
@Mauzuri
LMAO same here m8 I did the same thing and switched to switch after I heard it was such a large overhaul difference. Your not wrong I did the same cause we are true gamers lol
U didn't answer if THIS game has save data bonuses? Also...if this has the KAI added features wouldn't it make this one superior. Other than graphics u have caused more confusion than helped
@Lebest Even if your right your argument doesn't explain why they wouldn't do the same graphical enhancement on PS4 which was explained in the article. Another team worked on Switch and PC only but you act like they intentionally did that because they don't care about Playstation.
I mean if I follow your logic NIS shouldn't port their games on PS4 at all since it's "dying". But here's an actual fact, they DID decide to port it on PS4 and it's the case for Reverie Azure and legend of Nayuta. If NIS really didn't care they wouldn't port them to Playstation at all.
Can anyone tell me if this release at least has the additional lines of voiced dialogue from the Evolution releases?
Probably a long shot considering they used Kai as the base, but would be nice for a confirmation either way.
This is very disappointing news, hopefully they will fix the graphics sometime after the game is released.
@Lebest lol you are such a Nintendo fanboy making a fool of yourself 😂
@Herolegend true gamer lol
@Nerevar and you are such a cry baby, moooom, sis got a better quality game than I did, cry baby cry baby.
Disappointed but still buying them all for PS. I also picked up the Trails from Zero on Switch and Steam for my SD. I will play all the older ones on SD (Liberl and Crossbell) and will continue Reverie on PS5.
